I fondly remember Television Without Pity, and its tone seems to have been reincarnated in Tim's commentary this episode. His face during the opening credits was pure comedy gold. His interpretation of Kristin's inner monologue during the boat ride had me in stitches. And then his impression of Kristin calling out for Stephen at the camp was hilarious. I hope everything goes well for Whitney because that procedure can be intense.

I remember feeling oddly relieved when I first watched this episode & saw that Lo wasn't allowed to go on the overnight trip with boys because I always thought my parents were ridiculously strict with my sister and I in high school and then I thought this even more whenever I'd watch this show. I was like, damn, these kids can do anything they want, my parents must really suck! So yeah, seeing at least one kid with a strict dad brought me back down to earth lol.

Kristin's friend Alex was always my nro one favorite! I'm probably one of the few who actually liked both Kristin and Lauren and wasn't really taking sides, they are just very different and with different background. Kristin didn't grew up in California and I guess that's one of the reasons she was so different. So care free, laid back and wild compared to all those Laguna kids. For example when you see Lauren's mom she is very poised, calm and well behaved, I think Lauren was raised to be like that and that's why she sometimes comes off a little bit "stuck up" as Kristin called her. Remember when Lauren's dad told Kristin's dad that he had asked Lauren to kind of look over the others and be a mom to them in Cabo. That tells a lot about her upbringing. Also her best friends Jen Bunny and Lo seem quite spoiled compared to Kristin's friends.
