Robert Whittaker has not and will not ever get the respect he deserves. A lot of casual fans dont realize how much of a seasoned veteran Rob is. This has always been strange to me because he is a certified UFC hall of famer at this point in his career. Not to mention, he still has 3-5 years left in his career. Whittaker has been fighting at the elite level for the past 7 years and has only lost to Izzy, Izzy, and Driccus. Pay the guy some damn repsect man, Whittaker fans are sick and tired of it. Those post fight interview questions the reporters asked him were terrible and extremely un-professional. Everyone keeps saying "well Ikram was unranked, and if it were Khamzat, it would have been a different fight." I mean ok and you point is what exactly? It's not Whittakers' fault Khamzat pulls out of every fight. He did not have to take this fight on short notice against Ikram, but he did and starched the guy. So let's just stop with the "what if" scenarios because at the end of the day, it's not Rob's fault this happened. There's a very strong argument Khamzat did not deserve this fight to begin with, and I stand by that. The ONLY fight to make is Whittaker vs Strickland for a title eliminator bout and it needs to be 5 rounds.

It's a season similar to the NBA. It makes sense. For example a team like Oklahoma City thunder that were in playoff contention can lose to a team or 2 that are not gonna make the playoffs, and Oklahoma city thunder still goes to the playoffs. @@louiematarazzo I've never understood how some guys lost and still were in the tournament. Or were able to use their points to advance when they lost. Or getting repeat matchups with guys they just fought a couple months ago. No elbows make it too wimpy. There are too many starring contest and lay n pray fights in the PFL. Too many guys that couldn't make it in the bigger shows tend to try make a last-ditch effort to make a big payday. Old dogs are too prone to injury make it through tournament formats.
