Claro’s is one local business I’ll always support. The deli meats are fabulous, the sausage is to die for, and I love the frozen options. When I want specialty dried pastas, Claro’s is where I go. When I’m too lazy to make my own pizza dough, I buy Claro’s dough. Yum!!!

We bowl at La Habra 300! We've only ate at their coffee shop a few times. We also ate at the Chicken box twice when passed by and found it open for business, sometimes we would pass it by when it would not be open. We love Claro's Italian Market and Deli too, always with delicious food, we have never tried El Cholo and The Green Chile before, we've passed them by many times, but we just haven't stopped at them yet. When it comes to fried Chicken, I would go to the Chicken Box and or Jack's, those two have always proven to be good enough for me at least, I could only speak for myself. The French fries at the bowling alley used to taste really good at one time but they no longer sell those delicious fries anymore, they have become a standard version of French fries now. You made the Green Chile look so good, we'll have to check it out. Thank you for this video. Peace. ☮

Nice video of Whittier blvd in La Habra! I grew up in La Habra near Beach & La Habra. My parents bought our house in 1956 my sister still lives in the house original owners. I went to La Habra H.S. Class of 84 everything you mentioned in this video brought back so many childhood memories. Thanks for showing us what a great City La Habra can be 🙂

YES!!!! You are in my stomping grounds. My 30th birthday was at El Cholos. My cousin’s Bridal Shower was there. I work at The Cleta Harder developmental School on Euclid (the top of the hill passed Claro’s), it’s a school for those who are developmentally disabled, we volunteer at the bowling alley. I love eating the fried rice at the Bowling Alley. Love the Chicken Box. I live in Whittier but on the border right past Valley Home. Eaten at Claro’s. Their sandwiches are amazing. I already know. My dad would get food at the Green Chile. I would get tacos from there. Next time in Whittier Blvd in La Habra, go to the Heights Cafe. Okay So funny. I’ve never seen you in person but watch your videos. I am a ‘border kid’ as I like to say. I live in Whittier but spend most of my life in La Habra. I went to schools (my school district was Lowell Joint. So there are schools in both Whittier and La Habra) and went to La Habra High School. Still around. I cross the county line every single day!!!! Thanks so showing neck of the woods.

@@MyWhittierTV We get Pizza at Atomic Pizza a lot. I do like it. Señor Campos is good. I tend to go to with Mi Burrito or El Ranchito (that’s in La Habra). Also Laura’s Bakery and try the chicken salad sandwich. It’s kind of lost its glory since Laura retired and sold the store but the sandwich is still good. Other places to try down the road DeLuca’s Italian restaurant. (I’m going to speak a bit of food blasphemy here but it’s better than Lascari’s. In my opinion). There I gave you some other places to go to. DeLuca’s is in Whittier.

This was nice to see. I was also born and lived for my elementsry school years in Whittier. My Uncle Ron was a bartender at El Cholo in about 71 or 72. I still remember 0:02 going in as a small boy. That and Jolly Roger. Great vid!

Just bought some Kalamata Olives from the deli and some Fresh Marinara sauce, no more store bought jarred sauce for me, this place has good stuff. Look forward to exploring more of their items in the years to come

Great video Bobby! Went to school with the Salisbury kids..always knew where the team banquet was going to be. Growing up in East Whittier back in 60’s & 70’s not much to eat nearby so folks always headed east of Beach Blvd to eat.

I moved to Whittier in 1956. I left for college in 1966. I used to visit my parents in Whittier/La Habra. Once my parents passed away, I saw no reason to be in Whittier. I am 76 years old and live in Oceanside.

​@@MyWhittierTV Richard Nixon aspired to move to San Clemente. I can related to that. We used to hitchhike down Highway 39 to get to the beach at Bolsa Chica/Huntington Beach. Later, I had a black 1949 Oldsmobile Rocket 88. It was gangsta! I was in Whittier in 1959 when Buddy Holly, Richie Valens, and the Big Bopper died in a planet crash. I've lived in Aspen, Malibu, San Diego but was born in Reno in the 40s. I still have many friends from Whittier.

The Beef Broccoli at the bowling alley is the best I've ever had. The Enchilada stack at The Green Chile is amazing. Try it with a couple of fried eggs on top.

You need to hit up Ruby Reds BBQ in La Habra.. Imperial and Beach blvd.. Amazing breakfast too.. Get the 2 eggs and brisket.. Place is beautiful inside too.

About El Cholo and Senor Campos, hard to know for sure. Person should just try both places and find how he likes them. GOOD Soup either place. Nice chimichangas at El Cholo.

I live in Tustin and we are fortunate to have a Claro’s here, there deli is great and there sandwiches are so good🤗as for El Cholo I have never eaten at the La Habra location but I have eaten at the Corona Del Mar and Anaheim Hills location, the food is okay but it has become Americanized, I grew up in Santa Ana so I am very familiar with authentic Mexican food, Faralitio’s in Placentia or Sarinana’s in Santa Ana and countless others are better than El Cholo🤔

The food is more like old school Americanized Mexican food. If you notice their sign says it's Spanish food. That is not correct in today's vernacular. If you say a restaurant has Spanish food, you expect food from Spain. So don't expect good authentic Mexican food, and definitely don't expect actual food from Spain. Their Margarita drinks are the best though. I recommend eating some appetizers and focus on the Margaritas. 😄
