Imagine having no idea who gave birth to you, or why they gave you up.
From the 1950s, thousands of Kiwi babies were placed in new families, and given new identities. "Closed adoption" meant these children were totally cut off from their birth parents.
Now, as adults, many are trying to find out where they came from, and we’re alongside them for moments of pain, surprise - and joy.
