In this Open Dev Training, we explore the various entities involved in accessing data when enabling factory telematics as a service provider. Examining an end-to-end flow through a diagram, we start with Fleet Operators.
The fleet owner, who is also your customer which authorizes the activation of cars and grants consent for data usage. This collaboration is managed through existing contracts.
Fleet drivers, responsible for generating data, are informed and, if necessary, provide their consent.
As a service provider, you act as a touchpoint with High Mobility, facilitating Connected car data access.
Once a Fleet Operator agrees to activate vehicle data, we, as High Mobility, activate it on the manufacturer's side, delivering data to your solution using your chosen delivery methods.
Between us and the manufacturer, we handle agreements, technical interfaces, and the activation process of the vehicles.
The manufacturers collect data from the vehicles and push it to us, allowing you to present it to Fleet Operators for their everyday business.
Each party has distinct responsibilities, contributing to the seamless operation of factory telematics for fleet operators through your solution.
