The group delivers BARS everytime!! Esp when it's dedicated to their haters lmao. This MV is meant to be satirical and has a lot of wordplay + double meaning to some of their verses. The beauty to their songs, and what interested me, is how they allow most of their songs to be open to different interpretations. Which is why you would often see the fandom theorizing over their MVs and meanings to their songs! 💙💙 Being versatile both in their talents (all can sing, dance and rap) and song genre is their forte. Gento is basically is an expression "like this", when you're trying to show something ..But it also means GOLD, like whst they're doing here,they keep digging until they find Gold as they keep digging their heads till they can come up a beautiful song .. Since the very start , there were a lot of bashers of SB19 but SB19 called them "doubters" instead of haters because they were often called K-Pop wannabe's , but listening to their music and to KPop ,there was a lot of difference because SB19 have diverse music, not the typical Pop songs but of different genre..They have variety of songs , ballads, hiphop, RnB , club songs and Pop .. Yes, they do get a lot of hate right from the very beginning of their career. PPop wasn’t really a thing when they started so they kind of paved the way for the genre to be more acceptable here but they still get a lot of hates. It's good that you got a grasp of the message of Gento. It has a lot of references to Filipino sayings. You were right when you said they came from the bottom. But that would be another story. They write their own songs and are hands-on in the creative process. They have diss-tracks to their doubters, like Bazinga and Crimzone. GENTO has two meanings, GOLD and LIKE THIS😊 SB19 SONGS ARE OPEN FOR INTERPRETATION. Justine acting like a dog and the dog acting like human, i interpret it as a dog show wherein they just laugh at the hate words thrown to them by their haters and bashers to bring them down due to jealousy. For me, GENTO relays their journey from the beginning , the hardships they’ve gone through during their training, their preparation that they really have to dig dipper into their minds to find GOLD OR create something that they can be proud of. To reach your dream, you should not stay home and do nothing but you have to work hard LIKE THIS, LIKE A MINER OF GOLD to attain success. The alien in the last part of the video asking , “ what is the color of your love”; and the other alien answered “ gold, pre” sounds like a mockery to the MV of ALAB, just my interpretation because ALAB was created by their previous Korean company and the different colors of their love in the MV conveys different goals. If they will recreate that MV the color of their love would be GOLD for all of them which symbolizes “ONE FOR ALL AND ALL FOR ONE” in attaining SUCCESS (GOLD), just saying😊😂

So you are right, they started from the ground up and loads of haters but they came up on top as they didn’t give or settle for mediocre ❤. This MV is a satire, hence the funny moments. Lots of of Filipino elements, idioms, saying/proverbs and nuances. Their discography is so diverse, so much talent in one group. 5 singers, 5 dancers and 5 rappers. Each member has a special talent to bring in the group. Self produced, and self managed. Utmost respect and admiration to these gentlemen. Their ballads are amazing and they perform even better live.
