We even loss our taste cells, feelings, excitement, love, bonding strength, power, vision, etc as we grew up. Remember how joyful we're in childhood even for simple things. So much excitement and real happiness. As we grew up eventually we loss so many visible and non visible things.

​@@stayspiritualWell, it is not both, it is a philosophy and it offers you a choice, no imposition, there is no concept of blasphemy nor there are any commandments.... it is a way of life for seekers (curious beings who are looking for the reality of everything)

A religion has a head (for eg the pope or the caliphate), it has commandments, it states that it is the only truth and everything else is sin (kaafir/infidels especially in Islam) and some religions even order to kill the infidels and consider it holy... so no, hinduism is not a religion, even the name hindu is actually not correct, it is sanatana dharma (eternal law/righteousness)

almighty shiva represents higher self and his vehicle nandi(bull) represents every individuals jiva(souls). shiva riding on bull represents Higher self and individual self(soul) are connected to each other for that we need shakti(unlimited energy or unlimited power) and lion represents( power of wild beast) that is why 'shakti' wife of shiva eliminates negative qualities (the power of wild beast) in lion and have control over lion by riding on it and set a example for us that she has a mastery over eliminating all negativity or evil qualities in every living being and she represents possessing unlimited power.
