it would be an honor to see any of these performers live, I hope I will do so

Are there any other kabuki actors that you think deserve to be on this list?

is it strange that there is only one onnagata specialist right now? Have there been more in the past? @@MavioJordanBH-MG_1997

Is the ranking used during the Edo period still in use?

Brother, this video was quite enlightening, as it explained what led these actors to become Living National Treasures. However, I had an important doubt because of a certain part of the video: You said that Onoe Baikō VII and Nakamura Utaemon VI were rivals. When you mentioned that Baikō VII and Utaemon VI were rivals, were they just artistic rivals (because of their different styles) or were they really rivals (to the point of hating each other and being enemies of each other)?

From what I understand, it was an artistic rivalry. Although it got heated during the 50s and 60s (with competing productions, campaigning to play the same important roles, such as Agemaki at Danjūrō XI's shūmei, etc), I haven't read anything that indicates that they personally disliked each other.

@@KabukiInDepth Speaking of this subject, do you know if there currently exists or has ever existed any bitter feud involving Kabuki actors (when I say bitter, I mean to the point where the actors actually came to blows)?
