Many Shiites individuals do not have full knowledge about all the doctrines of Shiism. So this lecture is not intended to offend the Shia, but rather to educate the Shia's and Sunnis. We do not harbour hatred toward the Shia. Furthermore, we oppose acts of violence between the Shia & Sunnis that are committed against individuals simply because they are Shia or Sunnis.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER -
Adnan Rashid is a historian with a speciality in the history of Islamic civilisation, comparative religion and Hadith literature. He has an honours degree in History from the University of London and is currently pursuing further studies. He has also gained ijazaas in Hadith from a number of scholars.
He also takes a keen interest in lslamic numismatics and ancient manuscripts.. He has debated many high profile figures in the field of politics, history and Christian/Islamic theology.
He has defended his views in many prestigious universities including the University of Warsaw (Poland), the American University of Beirut (Lebanon) and The Trinity College Dublin and numerous other universities across the UK and internationally. He has also represented Islam and Muslims on a number of reputable media platforms such as the BBC.
He is presently serving as a khateeb (delivering Friday sermons) in a number of London Mosques. He is presently conducting an extensive Tafseer Course explaining the meaning of the Qur'an to wider audiences based upon the work of Ibn Katheer. Adnan also specialises in the Seerah (Life of the Prophet).
Adnan believes that Islam is a way of life which promotes modernity (in all of its positive manifestations) and provides realistic solutions for all problems facing mankind.

I am shia and 29 years old - In that many years i have prayed namaz 5 times, fast in ramazan and have been trying to achieve that approval from Allah - that one day from somewhere i get to hear him saying that he is happy with me and he has accepted all my prayers. and i am sure that i am not the only one who is looking to gain that acceptance from Allah SWT !!

If Ahlul bait can talk dirty about the family of prophet s.a.w then they are not from his family something has been corrupted somewhere. Look how yasser talks about the prophets family, wife, friends etc. and then they say we are Ahlul bait. They need to think again.

+AluSajdZaidi Imam Abu Dawud in the "Book of Sunna": Ibn Umar (RA) related (with complete isnad), that the Prophet S.A.W. said, "If a Muslim calls another kafr, then if he is a kafr let it be so; otherwise, he (the caller) is himself a kafr." Firstly, please do not confuse Islam with syi'ism; and also whosoever called the Companions (especially the Companions that gave the "Pledge of ar-Ridhuan") were apostates and kafr immediately when and after the Prophet S.A.W. passed away ... they (the syi'a) are kafr themselves. Its like saying Allah Swt did not know who HE made the enduring companions for the HIS Prophet S.A.W. and the Prophet S.A.W was a fool in selecting such friends as his enduring Companions in heralding the Message of Islam.
