I actually really liked that the Bambi's ambushed Kenpachi. Bleach traditionally only had 1v1 honor fights, so it was realistic and really pragmatic to ambush one of the biggest war threats while he was weakened. It gave the female sternritters an opportunity to show their abilities, and it helped solidify that this was a war where they weren't afraid to take cheap shots.

One of the funniest moments with the Bambis is when Mayuri askes Giselle what fun there is in controlling someone with no will of their own. And Giselle responding with that she wouldn't know, since she is not a sadist... The sheer irony of that scene is so strong that it's hilarious, and it really highlights the dark humor that make both Mayuri and Giselle such fun characters.

Kubo probably thought it would be funny though so that's why he probably did that. I mean It did surprise me at least. I don't get how Bambi's didn't figure it out sooner also thier wasn't much reaction from them which was also strange, Hope the Anime makes the scenes better and fills in plot holes a bit on it though

My Theory is that Giselle, Liltotto and Meninas are the main group with Bambi forcing her way in and Candice is the new member so shes not fully integrated yet which is why she fights alone.

Meninas became my favourite in the anime. Despite being rather kind-hearted, open-minded and easily influenced by others, she seems to have a strong sense of duty and can operate by herself doing what's necessary to follow orders. Unarguably the most reliable of the Bambies, the only one who'd never lay a finger on any of them unless it's Yhwach's order or someone else's enchantment. Also, a formidable fighter - more than any other girl excells in prolonged combat, as well as a good bodyguard with absurd physical strength. The only thing to break this image is her indifference about Bambietta. Even if it was actually done to save her from becoming Yhwach's emergency ration (which is most likely not the case), she could at least question if it was the only option. Kinda wish we knew what her actual motivation is. She gives an impression of someone who'd rather not do what she's doing if it wasn't for given orders.

Meninas sometimes gives the impression that she isn't fully in synch with what's going on, even if she knows what's happening. Maybe it's because of her flat emotional affect.

Menina's power was expanded so that was cool. And Giselle got some 1 on 1 abilities to summon minions without corpses. So that's good. Hell even Liltotto got cool now powers. It was a great episode.

I like the point you brought up about them possibly trying to help Bambietta in a twisted way by letting Giselle kill and zombify her. Bambietta would have not only still been executed but her soul would have been appropriated/absorbed by Yhwach.

I don't know if anyone can relate to this, but the Bambies have grown on me so much over time. Like, I didn't care for them when I read TYBW at first and thought they were rather annoying side characters. Now they are some of my favourite Sternritters and I can't even really understand why I disliked them back in the day

I always had this theory that none of them liked Bambi. Like in the manga Bambi shows a violent steak towards them . In the manga Bambi throws a bomb at them after Giselle and Candice as thwyre aurguing Not to mention they ditch her the moment they get the chance . Giselle straight up calls her dumb so its likely they were predicting it. Its such an overlooked detail because they knew how fast Bambietta could hit the roof , Giselle even says she won't win the fight. Them delibertly leaving her,and giselles comment is such a interesting character moemnt because they would've stomped kamamura had they all been together.

I like the Bambies, specifically Liltotto, but I wish we were given their backstories, not like a full backstory, but more hints as to what might of led them to their current selves, something like As Nodt's past. My reason for why I wish they had pasts is because if one wants to write fanfic involving them, you basically have to take a massive guess with how little you see of their personality, specifically either Liltotto or Candice, maybe Bambietta, given you have to really read between the lines. For example, if one wants to explore their character, you have to create a backstory for them, be it to explain their personality or any issues they have, like Bambietta's fear of death, Giselle's abandonment issues, or Meninas's seeming lack of emotions to any situation. I bring up their lack of backstory because I'm working on a Bleach: An Odd Little World fanfic. The fanfic is a rewrite, with various changes done throughout the whole story while following the canon events to the best of my abilities and taking a different interpretation of the work. But the biggest and weirdest change that I've done is about some of the Bambies, specifically Liltotto, Candice, and Meninas, where instead of ever becoming Sternritter, they end up being taken care of Ryuken Ishida, changing their roles from villains to main characters of my story, who must deal with their traumas and issues. The idea for this change came from a bizarre fanfic called Vow of the King, where Nemu went to Karakura Town instead of Rukia and gave Ichigo his power, and for some reason, Bambietta and Candice were allies during the Soul Society Arc. It wasn't very good, but I like the idea of those two being allies or main characters, something that isn't explored often in any fanfic on them, so I decided to add that to my fanfic while I decided to add in Liltotto because I like her character.

I’ve recently created a fanfic involving my personal favorite group for a few reasons: seeing each of their perspectives in the events of the TYBW arc, what did they discuss when Bambietta was going face to face with Komamura, and most of all fleshing out Candice, Liltotto and Meninas’s proper fights (since Kubo gave Giselle a bunch of screen time in the manga and probably will do so in the anime) and give hints of what led these 5 ladies together. It’s in the works and I’m creating one chapter after another. Bleach is what made me became a fanfic writer after getting to know the series and loving the show a lot.

​@@clydu91 My theory/just a massive guess is that Liltotto was an orphan either abandoned by her parents or they died somehow, with her born somewhere in France or Great Britain due to her first name being English while her surname was French. For most of her childhood, she was constantly starving, always without a full belly, leaving her somewhat stunted in her growth. Throughout her hardship, no one ever helped her or cared, leaving her to believe that one must survive by one's own merit and power while also making her distant from any relationship. All of this leads her to become apathetic and rather sardonic Sternritter, with Liltotto joining the Vandenreich after Yhwach 'saves' her from her grim life, giving her power and gaining her loyalty for being one of the first people to truly notice her existence. This is just the best and most interesting backstory I could I think of.

@@ezra1735 This would make the most sense for her. Adding to that she is the smartest of the 5, if not the smartest out of the entire group of quincies, in a pragmatic sense. It wouldn't be surprising to believe that her intelligence comes from a time in her life where she's constantly trying to survive, learning to adapt in harsh environments, looking for food, and the many ways to forage, pillage, purchase, and store as much food as possible while avoiding trouble. This would even tie into how her schrift truly works in the CFYOW light novel.

The fact that Candice wings can be ripped off and used makes me think of Kilge Opie wings coming off and falling down around the opponent creating a reishi prison based on their design. But he has the jail ability so that's probably not the case. But Giselle generating bones from her wings to make henchman could say otherwise

This video made my day since the Bambies/Femritters are my personal favorite group. And I’m still glad that they’re getting the love and respect they deserve in the anime including revealing Liltotto, Giselle and Meninas’s holy forms. If I have to rank my favorites of the Bambies: 1. Liltotto 2. Bambietta 3. Candice 4. Giselle 5. Meninas I would be lying if said I was never a fan of neither Meninas or Candice, no I was definitely a fan of them from the moment they first appeared in the manga. Liltotto totally won me over and became my personal favorite when she killed Pepe. The fight between her and Giselle vs Yhwach needs to be slightly expanded upon in the anime because I want to see both Liltotto and Giselle put up a fight with Yhwach before he defeats them. I’m really glad that in CFYOW the Bambies are still alive and not forgotten about, because personally I didn’t want them to be one and done characters.

Yea, Kubo definitely likes the Bambies. Even before he mentioned them having an extended scene, I figured he liked them when they were used to scuffle with Ichigo. Then he had McAllon say it was unsurprising that she and Liltotto were able to fight after NaNa, Candice, and Robert got trounced by Byakuya.

Kubo said that Bambies and Ukitake are going to get more new scenes in cour 2 and 3 so I believe that their story will be extended a bit in cour 3. Right after the fights end we can see Yhwach goes back to sleep and the Almighty switches to Haschwalt. I like to think that they were aware of how Yhwach power switch works so the plan was to have Bazz B distract Haschwalt while having the Almighty expecting Yhwach to be vulnerable and they'd just sneak kill him but since now Haschwalt sees the future he rapidly switched back to Yhwach to deal with both.

I remember a LONG ass time ago when someone put forward the idea that the Bambies were all actually one Sternritter with multiple personalities, and it was all because of their early presentation in the manga and how Bambietta was essentially the only one of their group we saw actually taking the field, and this persisted all the way up until after Bambietta's death. It was a crackpot theory even then, but the idea has stayed with me all these years and I still love bringing it up.

It's obvious that from the moment Ywach takes everyone's power Kubo started rushing the story. Hope anime will fix that problem and give Bambis actual fight scene with him. On a positive note, considering Bleach logic a lot of them can be saved. After all we had characters survive worse.

There is something I really do not like about them: Giselle's power. It makes very little sense, is totally broken, and is just used as a plot device to revive character who are dead in a cheap way. And the fact that Mayuri can regain control over the zombies, with just technology, is even more contrived. He basically created a better version of Giselle's broken ability with technology. What next then? Can he invent a fridge so cold it's colder than Rukia's bankai? A bizillion remotely controlled tiny blades more powerful than Senbonzakura?

Less so when it means "I invented the perfect solution to beat you before our battle even started, so I win". Oh and I just remembered Mayuri's zombies just happens to also be a perfect counter to Pepe's love that is already stronger than Giselle's zombies. Isn't that wonderful?

@@Zakeru750 mayuri's solution isnt an asspull at all- giselle's ability revolves around her blood infecting people to make them zombies. Remember that hollows are toxic to quincy- mayuri just so happens to have multiple arrancar. By injecting the blood of the arrancar into the zombies, it effectively kills the blood giselle has in them, and frees them. literally anyone could have done this- and if not mayuri's arrancar, he could have just as easily gotten blood from say, nelliel. mayuri likely wasn't even PLANNING to use the blood to fix zombies in the first place- knowing him, he probably wanted to see what happens when he injects arrancar blood into living quincy.

The Arrancar's blood is only used to inject an ass-pulled drug that gets the victim stuck in a time-loop that basically OS several captain level Shinigamis (INSANELY HUGE ass-pull), and then a "blood-like" serum made of the blood of the member of the Gotei 13 turns them into Mayuri zombies, overriding the ability of a character whose core ability is to make zombies (huge ass-pull). And of course Mayuri happens to have a blood sample of every officer of the Gotei 13, but I will only count that as a minor ass-pull. So, yeah, we are quite high on the ass-pulling scale. Btw, even if your head cannon were true, it still sounds like quite a big ass-pull.

Yes! I’ve been waiting on this video ever since you said you were going to do a video on the Bambies in another one of your videos (I think it was the Komamura vs. Bambietta one). Bambietta is my favorite Bambi and I hate the date that she got. I felt that her character could’ve gone so many different ways but Kubo decided to make her Giselle’s zombie. And even though I like Giselle, I also hate her for what she did to Bambi (and Toshiro, Rangiku, Kensei, and Rose). Even though the rest of the Bambies ain’t shit, I still love them. They really made this last episode entertaining for me. I’m so glad they kept in the part of Giselle, Meninas, and Liltotto purposefully landing on Candice’s face. That, along with Bambietta demolishing Shinji, are my favorite Bambies moments lol. These girls are absolutely hilarious. Here’s my ranking for the Bambies from my favorite to least favorite: 1. Bambietta 2. Candice 3. Meninas 4. Liltotto 5. Giselle (Meninas and Liltotto’s placements could switch) Bambietta does have a named/enhanced Holy Form. Kubo designed shirts for the Bambies that have one of their attack names from their Holy Forms on the front of them and one of the shirts had Bombing Bambi on it. So, she does have one but unfortunately she didn’t use it. Side note: those shirts are only available in Japan because the website that’s selling them doesn’t have international shipping for them and I’m so sad about it. 😭😭😭

Maybe this video is long enough already but i think you could've gone briefly into what they did in CFYOW even if its dubiously canon at this point. I feel like that would've been a better ad to draw people to the CFYOW summaries like giving a taster. Maybe another video for them if they do more stuff in the anime and you can include the light novel stuff there. I think even if giselle heals bambi she still ends up executed for her failure. Cang was healed from the vollstandig and BG9 was recovering himself but they still got executed. So zombifying her was the only way.

I think the reason why they didn't just heal Bambi, was simply cuz jugram would take Bambi and just execute her anyway. And if they simply healed her it would go against the Quincy rules and they would risk being called traitors to yhwach and they would all get executed with Bambi. Turning Bambi into a zombie simply let's Bambi stay in the group without any drawbacks to pretty much anybody but Bambi herself. Cuz Bambi will forever be under control of giselle, it was better for her this way anyway, cuz She is basically back to being normal again in the bambi group post tybw arc while sometimes Giselle if Bambi gets to annoying Giselle will turn Bambi back into her mindless zombie state. Honestly Bambi deserved worse than what she got. she is literally a deranged psychopathic murderer. That kills her own subordinates to make herself feel better. I don't get how anyone can feel bad for Bambi honestly. But yes giselle did save Bambi in their own twisted way.

Also, based on CFYOW, Liltotto could have eaten some of the deceased Stern Ritter members and obtained their powers. Im guessing this is how they could "justify" standing up to yhwach. It would be nice if they somehow managed to fit in Liltotto's mini-backstory (though I think it was just one small meeting) with Gremmy somewhere later in the anime. It would help to give some of the Sternritters a bit more backstory, and might add some nice depth to her feelings towards Yhwach when she eventually goes to confront him. Also, always thought it was weird that Liltotto and Giselle attempted to fight Yhwach by themselves without much of a plan, knowing what they know about how strong he is. Thinking about it, if the anime includes the Glutton's ability to steal powers, then that plus the Zombie could be kind of a powerhouse combination. I wonder if we might actually see what happens in that fight - I could see them fitting it and the Bazz B/Haschwalth stuff in one episode.

The thing with Bambietta having least powers compared to other bambis and her being their leader is quite interesting. Her power was so devastating that in the beginning others weren't able to surpass her. She was kind of like Kenpachi, strong from the beginning, so she stagnated when other Bambis were working to surpass her. That's why they don't respect her anymore, because they feel they surpassed her and they are probably right. But if she really worked on her power she would reach Shutztoffel level I guess
