As far as I understand it, he could grow so strong because he was a player and thus could level as easily as in the game. New Worlders seem to have a level cap, a low one most of the time

I find it more likely, rather than a player still hanging around, that more players to play the role of “Hero” against Ainz will arrive after his conquest has been assured. In a word, the remnants of the games strongest guild. A final and worthy foe for Ainz to beat, while also deconstructing the normal Isekai troupes.

This brings up a thought. If a world item is necessary for transportation to the new world, and there are a finite number (20?), we need to count how many have been documented in the light novels. That will give us an idea how many potential players/guild halls have/will be transported.

200 total world items I think but only 20-30ish IIRC were found in the game entire life time of 12 years

As to other players in world concurrent with Ainz. If we consider the area we know of to be equivalent to Europe, that leaves an immense area for other players to be conquering at the same time. (ie: sid meiers civilization) If another player or guild is close enough, they could easily encounter each other.

The idea that the 3 greed kings were being mislabeled as greedy when in reality they were tricked into fighting one another by a third party stealing a world level item is incredibly interesting.

I have a theory that i've came up with not to long ago. Its about Ainz's and Zesshi's TFOAID spell. TFOAID is a YGGDRASIL spell. What if someone went back in time to deliver that spell as an item? What if that world item is supposed to have a major role in the future? Also, what if Rigrit is also a time traveler?🤔

Since Yggdrasil was an online game, I'm pretty sure just like Ains somebody stay until they turned the servers off. Now here's a theory for you. As the game slowly lost popularity, the company that ran the game consolidated servers that didn't have much traffic. The first wave of consolidation were the 6 great gods, the second round the 8 greed kings. If Ains was a top player of the game he just might be one of the most powerful persons there, if no one else did what he did when the final server shutdown. But then again when those first servers were taken offline who knows what beta testing game mechanics or items, or pre-update operations may have been used in those servers that may have been adjusted and corrected in the final version that Ains came through on.

This was explained. Platinum dragon lords father did a massive summon for souls as a result of the dragons using wild magic which requires souls. So he is responsible. As a result all players that stayed in the game when the servers shut down were transported to the new word due to that summon. However although they were all summoned at the same time, they appeared in different era's. It is possible that more players also made their way there as well but if they were casual players without high levels they could have died being so weak. The only ones that are known are those that were so strong they were unbeatable and this seen as God's, or Kings, or heroes. They were high level players thus the reason they had such a great impact on the world. Low level players were probably wiped out upon being summoned. Had that slime that was with Ainz had stayed along with him, she would have also been summoned when the servers shut down.

@@Zauzzie players in the New World would have a high chance of having a world item as there's a massive implication that the reason players came into the NW was because of the Dragon Emperor trying to summon World Items, which then indirectly summoned those who possess them, although there's a chance that it'll be the case, it wouldn't cause much of a problem as it is stated by the author that Ainz Ooal Gown has the highest count of possessed world item in the whole game, i wouldn't directly go to the estimation but it is said that after Ainz Ooal Gown, the guild after them only had 8( more or less) world item

PDL is the strongest dragon and is around level 90-92. im P sure they are the strongest existence native to the new world. PDL would get his ass kicked in a 1v1 vs any guardian especially albedo or shaltier. unless the guardians got cocky and played with their opponent too much and snatched defeat from the jaws of certain victory.. in fact about the only guaridan PDL can beat is probably pandoras actor due to how the Dopple ganger race restrictions gimps copied stats by 20%/20 levels vs their originals. so PA is as strong as a level 80 roughly when he is a level 100 npc. its also why he was slowly losing that fight vs PDL when he was pretending to be ainz. So PA would probably lose, assuming PA doesnt use a ton of world items.

The thing about PDL vs Pandora's Actor is that PA limited what skills/magic he could use against PDL and intentionally held back for the sake of information gathering. Defeating him was more of a secondary goal/bonus but the main plan was to eventually have Albedo come in to interrupt the fight once it was clear PA was done with the fight. One could argue he might be an even match for PDL if he was fighting seriously and/or had a world item equipped. (he did not have one equipped during that fight). Given the information he managed to gather I would argue he could win a rematch with the armor. Though I'm assuming they will stick to a second information gathering only style of fight if they find them selves battling PDL's real body instead of the armor. Real PDL might definitely be too much for PA though and perhaps only the real Ainz can take him on.

@@MagnumForce51 in terms of raw power yes ainz could win no problem IF he was serious. The problem is 2 fold, 1st wild magic is.. well a weird and unpredictable variable of which ainz has no experience of. The 2nd issue is im worried about the fact that the normal level gap isnt big enough to really fuck around. The level gap is too small 92 vs 100... So i can easily see a situation where ainz fucks around with his food too much and underestimates PDL because of how weak everything else has been in the series so far, and takes too much damage by surprise. where as the other full power L 100 guardians ''if told to attack'', would likely do so as efficiently and directly as possible, without pulling any punches for the sake of info gathering, UNLESS ordered directly to do so.. And ofc 2 or more guardians would curb stomp PDL. IK PDL had a world item that isolated PA in the fight, and PA didnt have any World items. and ik albedo had a world item which is why she was able to get through the barrier. i still believe that the issue is entirely because of how the Doppelganger class is set up in Yagdrissl and how its attack and defense power is lowered below that of what it copies by several levels. that is a HUGE drawback. Im not saying PA is useless but he is OBJECTIVELY the weakest of all the Guardians because of that Racial/class limitation when in a copied form. His uncopied/ raw form is full power sure and doesn't suffer that limitation, but is limited in how many abilities and spells he can bring to bear in a fight. However dopple gangers are BY NO MEANS useless, and have TONS of other roles and versatility. especially in group battles, construction ,farming or espionage roles. which is why Nazzarick has several of them including PA, Naberil and a few dozen others. In-fact that's probably how the series ends. with ainz underestimating some opponent, and getting killed by accident. or the entirety of nazerick and the floorguardians being Ritual magicked away somehow by a big group of powerful mages givng up their life to power a ridiculous 1 off spell similar to the one that caused the yigdrasil players to start showing up in their world int he 1st place..

Well, the leader of The Thirteen Heroes definitely seemed a pushover to me! Considering the value of information in that certain game, the way he leaked vital information amongst his companions could be argued as The Height of Stupidity. Also given his personality known so far, the fact he killed a fellow player could probably be traced back to the leader of the demon gods, the chances of this entity being that particular player is quite high in fact!

He most likely was a noob player new to the game, Evileye says the players started the weakest but ended the strongest in the party, so he probably was really low level like 10-20.

@@PagemanX Undoubtedly so. That said many fans would digress on that opinion. Let me explain. In Yggdrasil one can only obtain information through thorough gaming hours and reliable sources such as guilds. Since it was an RPG, experience was not hard earned either. Also considering the server shutdown I have my doubts new players would be interested in it. So most likely case is that a veteran player came back with a new account! Now why would anyone even do that? It was mentioned in the Bonus Volume, days before server shutdown mob monsters were disabled. In other words you might explore the game's many yet unknown locations without being attacked. A group of players, as forums would term them 'World Searchers' did precisely that! So while not confirmed, this is quite a likely scenario. Sorry for the long reply btw! 😅

The 6 Great Gods, and 8 Greed Kings were probably not all Players Its been said that Ainz Ooal Gown was a Top 10 guild at its peak. Meaning the vast majority of other Guilds were inferior It's also been said that AOG had the most WCIs compared to other Guilds, and they had 8. Most Top Guilds only had 1 or 2 at the most My personal theory, is that the 6 GGs, and 8GKs were ONE player, the Guild Base, and a few Lvl 100 NPCs Guilds with regular Bases only had 700 Levels to split amongst the NPCs, unless Cash Shop items were used We know that AOG were abnormal about their Cash Shop purchases...so we can assume they had more NPC levels to use, comparatively My theory is, is the 6GGs was One Player with a WCI (Surshana) and 5 Lvl 100 NPCs And the 8GKs was One Player with a WCI and 7 lvl 100 NPCs The reason they died out, and fell to infighting...was because none of the other Players were smart enough to behave as a Supreme Being and constantly strove to earn their NPCs respect like Ainz does. The author CONSTANTLY stresses that fact We know that NPCs have their own thoughts and ideals once in the New World, and behave in similar manner to their Creators Maybe they fought against each other, because they were lesser Guilds with dysfunctional members. and that dysfunction carried over to the New World. Then, the Player fucked up by using their WCI and losing the protection it gave, resulting in the NPCs mutiny

They pretty much started a war against each other to get the girl, which is dumb as shit. As for your theory of the 6 Great Gods not all being players, that is certainly a possibility.
