He was the sergeant in the vanguard veterans squad and fought at vraks, his terminator armour mini is to represent him in both the aphallon project and the badab war and his leviathan dreadnought is his last state.

I absolutely believe they’re from the Emperor’s Children bloodline: Obsessed with perfection Genetically perfect Extremely xenophobic Adore the emperor to the point they worship him as a god now Follow the Codex Astartes more thoroughly than the Ultramarines (much as the 3rd Legion followed Guilliman’s orders more perfectly than the 13th did in joint operations during the great crusade). Definitely date back to the Great Crusade era (they have Leviathans) Large quantities of and ability to still make MKIV Power Armour. Experts in joint arms operations and leading mortals effectively (the 3rd Legions original expertise before Fulgrim) No Geneseed flaws. Heavy use of and great prestige given to Apothecaries. Extremely competent generalist fighters with a heavy use of veterans due to them surviving so often. Specifically written with a rivalry with Slaanesh worshipping traitors. The alternative is the Word Bearers, but they’re far too competent and lack the obsessive evangelism and predisposition towards Psykers of the 17th legion) I believe this so strongly I run my Horus Heresy EC as proto Red Scorpions, with their Inductii done up in the same Colours, but with the yellow swapped for purple, and the Praetor given the nickname and personal heraldry of ‘The Red Scorpion’.

I would beg you to cover the Nemesis Chapter. These guys have a weird lore, trace their roots back to a Destroyer Company from the HH, stole a Word Bearers Gloriana Cruiser and learned terror tactics from the Night Lords, and they're *Ultramarine Successors* this is absolutely insane to me and it feels like these guys deserve vastly more attention.

This might be more of a small blurb in a compilation video, But i always found that the Nova fists got official lore to be cool. They were painted in the orange of the NOVA open for charity auction and got lore in a white dwarf. Something to look at.

I just read on the warhammer wiki about a chapter called the Broken Wings, they were a Blood Angels successor who were very depressed that they couldn’t be there when sanguinius died so they became a chapter of sorrow and grief, the chapter was wiped out during the devastation of Baal,I think they’re pretty interesting

The fact that there geneseed is considered generic and they are obsessed with the codex so much I think Leandros could fit right in makes me think they are probably ultra marines successor chapter.

Nah I think they are dark angels, being the first legion is probably the only good explanation for why they could "bleach" their geneseed into something unidentifiable, it also fits with their paranoia, derision and distain for everyone around them, alongside their almost self hating level of purity almost like they were coping from implied heresies past They are the black Templars of the dark angels, xenophobic to all degrees and with some of their worse traits played up but at the same time kept in check by their discipline and blind adherence to structure almost erasing everything but the most core of astartes identity They also remind me of terran born marines, less effected by their primarch and homeworlds, loyal to the emperor first, similar and very even tempered, the finest examples of what it means to be an astartes but also somewhat under cooked compared to their more eccentric descendants

@@JoePippin. no, its a garbage ideam the Custodes have always been the "other" sons of the Emperor, and even have a long running debate about whether its them or the Primarchs who are his most beloved children. Space marine and space marine like augmentation is male. That whole side of 40k is about the relationships between fathers, sons, and brothers. Trying to force women into it is like demanding men be allowed in the Sisters of Silence. There are important themes here that can't be diluted as they're a core part of the faction.

I really like Scorpions. There one of the least changed animals in a morphological way. They also have a deep mythological significance in Human history. The Bible mentions Scorpions when Joseph is in the pit. Also Scorpio has astrological and astronomical significance. The Scorpion is simultaneously a feared but also underestimated animal. The Scorpion has many weapons and a poison like a snake. Like snakes, scorpions have both villainous and noble associations. What can be a poison can be harnessed for medicine.
