Curses themselves are formed from those negative emotions, hence why Jogo refers to curses as the new humanity, since they are “purer beings”. i'd just like to say a small correction, yuji could see curses at the beginning of the show because of his intense mental state and the sheer volume of curses at the school. heightened emotions and near death situations can sometimes allow normal humans to see curses! the 80% innate talent is only referring to a fact that everyone has a set cursed technique from birth and you can't learn other techniques only expand on your own; if you get a bad/hard to use/not suited for combat technique, you're kinda screwed

13:45 explaining cursed energy- cursed energy is a little weird than all the other types of energy like chakra, chi, or any others. It's the energy that is produced due to the negative emotions such as anger, depression and others but in some people this energy production is higher such as itadori that's why he can see curses but can't fight them cause he didn't have that much energy, and then he ate sukuna finger and got all his energy. Maki on the other hand can't even produce a single ounce of cursed energy. And in some way a super depressed human could sense curses and even see some, like the kid in Ally. On the other hand cursed technique is when you manifest that energy into some technique like fushiguro and gojo, that thing is called jujutsu.

Explanation of cursed energy. There is a collective unconscious and negative emotions of it produces cursed energy. Every person has it, but the vast majority have so little, they don't see cursed spirits (that are made of cursed energy). Some people are able to see spirits, but can't use the energy. But sorcerers can. Every sorcerer has a limited amount of the energy (i can be wrong here). Also also have cursed techniques (dogs, voodoo dolls etc). Some can be inherited by bloodline. Domain Expansion is like an ult that spends lots of cursed energy. Important, Gojo is so strong, because he was lucky to be born with a very strong cursed technique. There are also more stuff that will be shown later.

It's actually funny to me when I spot people who hate on this show in the comments:) Despite being new, Jujutsu Kaisen is incredibly successful, with the movie Jujutsu Kaisen 0 surpassing sales of both One Piece and Dragon Ball movies, and the manga being the highest-selling since 2022. And it's not just the sales -- when it comes to story, the power system is basically a math class if you get into it and it's well structured, the story has good pacing, no annoying training arcs, cool characters, great sense of humor, interesting female characters, and more... Studio Gek I hope the haters in your comment section won't affect your opinion of the show. Be careful in the comments (not just for this show, but for any anime) because some people might spoil it out of spite since their favorite show isn't getting enough attention 😏

Ngl this one is my favourite among all the newer series (AOT is exempt from this.) Plus a new exorcist anime. The last one I knew was Tokyo Raven. Everything else were Demon Slayer-like (Blue Exorcist, Twin exorcist etc.) Maybe I'm a bit biased but exorcism + RPG elements is my stuff. A game would be perfect by now.

i disagree with that, considering the amount of... fanservice in it. i also doubt they'd like the main characters, and as far as i can see it's important to them to like the main characters for them to care enough about it (i mean so is the case for almost everyone), i think they could be weirded out. like i am someone who watches and likes anime, and i was weirded out and dropped it, so i would say they should wait for that some more. that's just my opinion though.

Oh the pain!🥺 poor Mai I hated her at first but, but now..😭 They were talking about the power in jjk n asking how it works n stuff which I’ve wondered about too but it also makes me think about the most complicated..or at least most well structured, thought out power structure in anime which to me is definitely Hunter x Hunter. That power system is crazy n complex! I wonder if you could break cursed energy down into categories like that? Or if cursed energy could have specific traits like Nen does?🤔 cuz the one chick uses a hammer n nails, the other chick uses the gun, the one guy uses that knife thing, the one guy uses shadows, one uses speech. Then as you go thru the story other ppl use certain or specific weapons n powers. And there’s definitely stronger cursed energy users n better techniques then others. So it makes me draw some similarities 🤔 or I guess it automatically makes me wanna put em in categories like in Hunter x Hunter.

Gojo once explained it a little in the past episodes(tho I'm not very good at explaining) cursed energy is essentially the power system that everyone in jjk utilizes that's honed through controlling negative emotion in application. Techniques are largely hereditary & innate. Which is why clans & families are very important in jjk (some are specialized in a certain unique technique & if u don't inherit that ur immediately put down on the hierarchy of the clan). When it comes to the use of weapons I personally thought of it as a medium that people use their techniques through. Like Nobara uses a hammer because her application of her technique is embued in an object so being able to make it a projectile(the nails) makes her range better. So it may just be mainly adaptations to utilize their unique techniques in a way that benefits them.

@@lydiai3264 right it’s just hard not to compare em, Gojo uses 2 soda cans to demonstrate the difference between when using n not using a technique and then the guy who taught Gon n Killua used 2 soda cans to show the differences in Nen. Then the use of specific items ppl put their cursed energy in is similar to how ppl use items with their Nen, but I guess a major difference is usually the item is conjured by Nen. But like the way Gon n Killua envelopes the shovels with Nen in order to dig faster n easier when training. Then there’s some cursed energy that works well for some curses but not others cuz they’re not compatible just like some of the Nen stuff is useless against certain types, but that’s probably the case for any power system in any story. I can see how they’re different but I like that they’re kinda similar too, but later stuff gets kinda confusing and I think I would’ve understood it better if there was a detailed structure about cursed energy n techniques cuz later on I found myself asking “how is that even possible, how could that curse even pull something like that off?” Cuz it just kinda happens out of nowhere n I was like..”what?! How can they do that so easily?” That’s really my only complaint about jjk is that it gets a bit confusing but it doesn’t really effect the story n later on it makes more sense I guess but for a bit your like “wtf is going on?!”
