The Allahabad pillers extensively talk about his conquests written by Harisena who was in his time.

In indian contexts, its unfortunate that we don't have tactical overviews of major historical battles , like the porus v alexander. There are a few history books which tell you how many soldiers engaged in these battles, but you will not find much tactical information if you are a military history enthusiast
