What's wrong with single use plastic if it just ends up in landfill? You're not making any sense.
@tna2me1972 жыл бұрын
Ummmmmm “Making producers pay”. Who do you think ends up paying for it? The consumer who buys it. The company will have to raise their prices. They seriously have to ask this question? “No measurable increase in pricing”? This is insanity.
@kevjtnbtmglr2 жыл бұрын
True but the packaging will affect the price more. So, whoever has the least wasteful packaging can sell it cheaper.

Most idealist solution is total independence from stores. Grow your own food, water, clothes, heat, shelter. Off grid, bushcraft, arm-bearing community sounds better and better every second

"It cost 67% more to recycle than throw away" ..erm, is that a surprise to ANYONE?!? The point has always been to re-use materials, long term benefits where never because it was cheaper than landfill!! Like renewable Energy, it's still relatively new and needs to be developed to increase scale, and efficiency - bringing down costs. And companies need to b required to phase out all the non-renewble plastics or very difficult to renew packaging. Just in terms of money, in the end it will be FAR CHEAPER to recycle than exporting or burying our rubbish. 😎👍
@bubbajones69072 жыл бұрын
That's just ignorant. What do you think happens to trash which goes into landfills? All trash has always been recycled, long before political operatives started funneling tax payers funds into these waste management corporations. I will never sort trash. I'm just one of many people who will deliberately place food scraps into recycling bins.

Recycling is also a symbolic way of transcending death. That's probably why recycling seems to be so popular with old farts and atheists. It's bizarre how people's repressed emotions inhibit rational thought. The recycling cult makes no sense to honest people.

This should help explain why boomers are so attached to recycling as they approach their inevitable death. kzbin.info/www/bejne/an6Vp6uVh6iqidU

You might find Heaven's Gate funny. They were a recycling suicide cult which also promoted belief in aliens. Alien cults and recycling naturally go together, as the irrational belief in aliens is used to satisfy an emotional desire to transcend their mundane existence. There are many funny and bizarre videos from this cult. kzbin.info/www/bejne/p4TWiaijhq-nedU

everything is based on growth so it is a matter of course that the companies will add the fee to their prices including surcharges! it is always the consumer and the taxpayer who then pay for all the nonsense.

recycling was invented by plastic companies so people felt good buying single use plastics. over 90% of "recyclables" are not recycled and go from recycling plant to land fill. 🍻
