@@capoislamort1001990 during the first Liberian civil war In retailiarion for prior oppression by Samuel doe and his Krahn tribe the Gio and Mano of nimba county who were the primarily targets of the oppression would rise up and start the civil war where they’d target krahn and the Mandingo/mandinka who supported and fought with them . It was really confusing because the other ethnic groups had members who were supporting both sides

Such a groovy beat for a war song, so catchy and nostalgic, kinda reminds me of the Bud Spencer and Terence Hill film soundtracks

Wow rather funky for a war song about a war that caused the rape and murder of thousands
@thelonewanderer2550 Жыл бұрын
@mills9402 This was made before the Civil War. It celebrates the coup leader Samuel K Doe. He is the first native president of liberia. Ironically, the man who sings this song was killed by his own clan during the Civil War.

@@thelonewanderer2550 Robert Toe was a from the Krahn tribe he wasn’t killed by his own clan. Robert Toe was killed by INPFL ( Independent National Patriotic Front of Liberia) a rebel faction during the 1st Liberian civil war. The INPFL was a majority Gio tribe mans and women. When INPFL capture I think is was Caldwell he was captured and killed because of his ethnicity Krahn.
