Affordability is something that is becoming out of reach for many Canadians. I've been Fortunate to be born in the right time however the younger generation may not be even able to afford a house. Inflation has gotten out of control.

I carry 75L of gas when I cannonball the 1250km's to my dad's place for Christmas. Between night, the holidays, accidents/closed highways and during covid there were times there was no gas stations open all along Lake Superior until you got down to Sault Ste Marie. Over 1000km's without an open gas station. Safer and easier to just have enough fuel for the entire trip on you. Last time I came back there were 3 accidents that closed the trans canada. Me and the dog waited in the truck for over 9 hours for it to open.

@BackCountryWrenching yup, highway was closed in front of and behind us so couldn't even backtrack 45 minutes to White River. I had my camping gear and plenty of gas, food and drinks so we were good that way.

1:38 I see it all the time living by the border, Albertans go to Montana and bring back extra fuel where it is $3 a gallon. Also fuel in BC is 30¢ more than in Alberta so if you are traveling back to BC best to take some Alberta fuel with you.

@@BackCountryWrenching No, I am sure the border people do not mind a jerry can or two but a trailer with fuel tanks might be pushing our luck. You would have to pay duty on any extra gas you bring across that is not in your tank.

Personally il carry 60l of spare fuel because i buy it on the local reserve at 10+cents per liter cheaper.. and at 12 or so mpg... a long haul i will buy amd carry that chesper fuel! It adds up over time.

It will pull over 3000 pounds and inside is more comfortable than most vehicles. Easy for oil changes and maintenance, just need lift kit and bigger tires and roof rack with panels.
