Early 2000s are kinda iffy for strikeouts because hitter plate approach back then wanted less strikeouts. You wouldn't get those crazy strikeout numbers outside of the obvious Pedro, Rocket, Randy, and Curt.

My team: Seattle 2010 Felix Hernandez 232 (picked) Angels 2022 Shohei Otani 219 (picked) Oakland 2004 Barry Zito 163 Astros 2019 Justin Verlander 300 (picked) Rangers 2011 Derek Holland 162 Angels 2007 K Rod 90 Rangers 2011 Neftali Felix 54 Astros 2005 Brad Lidge 157 Total: 1377 Obviously without having other opponents I could get what I wanted, but I really thought Zito and Holland had more. Was going to go with Mulder for the A's but couldn't pick a good year. Surprisingly his best was only 159 anyway. My only other pick for Rangers was Cliff Lee, but I couldn't remember if he was there for a full season (he was not). For relievers, the Lidge pick was goated, but I didn't get K Rod's year correct as 2004 has 123. And for my 3rd reliever I literally had no idea, just went with a sure bet to have anything.
