I'll say Benny's was second, in this one. Alan being the biggest thing on his poster was a bit lame, but I did love the color overall. Voyage had one of the best scenes in that movie as a poster, and I'm a sucker for action shots.

My personal opinion: Benny: Amazing colours and composition. The placement of everything is really good and as Voyage said it guides your eye and the sky is incredibly gorgeous. However I'm just personally not a fan of this style of posters since I believe it's quite overdone and I also don't agree with making the T-Rex that small in the poster. IMO it should be the biggest "character" in the poster. Seventh Voyage: The colours and the moodyness of the rain perfectly captures the vibe of Jurassic Park. The composition is amazing and it's such an intense moment captures in an image, but the Jurassic Park logo on the top, away from the credits at the bottom, make the poster feel slightly disjointed.
@Anna-pj8te3 жыл бұрын
I agree. He should have made the text blend more with the poster.
@cup_oh_tea2 жыл бұрын
Glad to see that I wasn't the only one who noticed that! The very bright text at the top of the image kept my eyes from moving through the image. I feel like decreasing the opacity and blending it a little bit better into the overall atmosphere of the piece would help it to be more interesting. Finally, the positioning of it is extremely disjointed. I believe it would have been much better locked up with the credits at the lower part of the poster - even if the remainder of the artwork needed to be nudged up a few inches to compensate. That being said, both pieces have exceptional stylistic choices, great overall atmosphere, and are each very interesting. My favourite is Benny's, albeit, only because yellow is my favourite colour and the tones he used were absolutely gorgeous... 😍 I did however enjoy Jeff's composition over Benny's.

For me then i would have Benny's Poster as sort of the First to release, to sort of have a better understanding on things in the movie, and see all the main characters etc. Then have Jeff's as the second poster to release, because at that point you know the theme and all that stuff... I think the action shot Jeff chosen was on the money bc it brought curiosity, excitement, scary, put you right into the movie and he had a simple composition. His execution was wow awesome love his skills. You stayed in that pocket where movie poster are which is not a bad thing. First of all: You made my day! Again! Both of the posters are amazing and if I didn't saw this video, I would absolutly believe that these were the real posters. As you said Benny went for the warmer colors and this gave me the absolute Jurrasic Park feeling. Jeff, those splashes are just... WOW! The whole composition looks incredibly realistic even if it's a f*ckin T-rex on it. If I had to choose which picture I like better, I would genuinely cannot choose. As a poster, I can imagine Benny's art more and because of that I gave my point to him. I'm think it's a very very great idea, to spice up the Edit Races like this and I can't wait to see what's next! P.S.: Happy Birthday Jeff!!
