Going high usually means you run out of jumps faster and can't get the extra boost from airdodging. It's almost never better than going low. Tether users grabbing ledges and Mega Man using up-b on Battlefield both count as touching the ground according to the rules I've set. Of all the characters people are saying can make it, I've only verified that Sonic can, because I didn't use his down-b properly in the video. I'll record any characters that can make it but weren't shown in the video and add them to the season 1 dlc video.

I tried with them, but Falco is a fastfaller and K Rool is heavy, which makes them fall too fast. K Rool lands on 2nd platform of Battlefield, and falco has too much lag after side B and touches the ground.

Did you even try to read the pinned comment and click "Read More" to find out why some characters went under the Battlefield platform and not over it? 2. Why do a lot of you keep comparing Kirby to Jigglypuff? Yes, they both have 6 jumps but, is it really that hard to tell the obvious differences between the two? You can clearly see how slow Kirby's air speed is compared to Jigglypuff's, therefore you should know by now. Sonic can make it if you up B first, use dair to bounce off the spring, then spincharge forward, jump, Up B midair, use 2 fairs then directional airdodge towards the last ledge

For everyone thinking kirby could've made it, and somehow ended up at this comment rather than... any other comment telling this, cuz there are a few..... but there'll never be enough it seems SO HERE WE GO short version: normal kirby can't make it using shulks jump boost, he can make it long version: also, note: when I'm talking about 'initial height', I'm talking about the height kirby has at the moment a jump is USED, for anyone wondering good news and bad news first the bad news 'normal' kirby... just can't make it, even if he goes the top way, he'll roughly land on the third battlefield platform (the tiny floaty platforms on above the middle island), MAYBE someone more skilled than me will be able to get just past the island on a lucky try... but no further than that. he's just too SLOW to make it, kirby doesn't have the horizontal flying speed to make it, sorry to break it to ya, notice how jigglypuff is much faster?, look at how far our kirby gets with a single jump and how far jiggly gets, that's our issue. the good news... well kinda so we established kirby is missing something, speed. kirby of course has his great unique copy ability.... and shulk is a character in the game.. we remember what shulk does right? [SKIP this block if you don't care about the wrong ability choice, the proper choice is explained in the block after it] so we first copy shulks abilities, go to the ledge, take the SPEED boost and.. somehow make kirby worse... the ability works rather interesting to be honest. If I understand correctly, correct me if I'm wrong, I am taking this from a few minutes of testing and writing down what I see happening. The ability causes the movement animations to speed up and thus causes every step etc. to be finished earlier, which in turn causes the character to move at a faster pace (being able to move more steps in a shorter time period), rather than the characters own speed, this is the same for the jump though, which means the jump is finished earlier.... causing it to get less height (try it if you can!, poor kirby) and jumps become less like actual jumps and more like tiny bunny hops the point is, when jumping, you reach your initial height much sooner, shorter jumps, less distance. BUT.... if kirby copies shulks boosting abilities, and uses the JUMP ability, he'll make it, we acquire an insane vertical boost, because of this boost kirby can fall for a longer period of time, and will reach their initial height later. We still have the same horizontal speed as normal but we get more time, thus more distance total, and we want that we'll get farther than jigglypuff even so TECHNICALLY speaking, kirby could make it, if given access to the right resources never used shulk before tbh, so not sure how his abilities work exactly. correct me on any things, I'm not an expert, I just had some free time..

Good to know that someone besides me knows the differences between Kirby & Jigglypuff, also "Jump" has the quickest air speed whereas "Speed" has the 2nd quickest air speed, which is why using "Jump" alone is the best choice for recovery. Unfortunately, getting help from other players is not allowed in this challenge.

It's actually interesting seeing characters that you think have good vertical recovery or horizontal recovery perform this in execution and seeing just how they stack up. Such as seeing how mario, whose name is literally jump man, has less recovery option that wario.

No gundashing with Mii Gunner? F-air can push you back a lot if you hold in the opposite direction after inputting. I was able to get Mii Gunner all the way past the Battlefield section before dying. That being said, Echo Reflector and Absorbing Vortex also halt your vertical momentum, and Lunar Launch can go slightly higher than Arm Rocket for vertical recovery. So I would try those options.

This is great! Btw might want to consider eliminating dead time for future cast-wide videos. Such as when the camera lingers after death, or after success/taunt. Might seem tiny, but 5 seconds of dead time (which seemed to be an average) is over 6 minutes of just lingering camera when you make a video with 74+ characters! ;)

There's actual hidden tech to cross the stage with Little Mac, here's how. 1. Go to the main menu, and go to a stage with walls, no hazards, if there's a lot of space, better. You'll need someone with a projectile who can detonate bombs from afar. 2. Gather all the possible bombs on Mac's back, him facing the wall you chose. Repeatedly, F-smash with some buffering to try to make it frame perfect, another controller must detonate the bombs, making Mac's superamor active, this will change the screen as you can see. Approximately after 15 F-smashs blocked by armor, buffer a side b, and if a explosion is frame perfect before it touches Mac, congratulations, you achieved it. Now pause the menu, and exit through the Switch's menu. 3. Restart the game, and go into training mode. 4. Choose Jigglypuff

No, I tried for 30 minutes and couldn't manage. I tried using Axe kick for more hight, I tried going over Battlefield, but nothing really worked. Brawler is a fastfaller in this game, which makes it really hard to go far, and his wall jump also is pretty low. Sorry.

Did you try using F.L.U.D.D. At all for Mario's? People highly overlook F.L.U.D.D.'s abilities, one of which being having recoil knockback on Mario. With my own tests, I've confirmed that Mario moves the same amount of distance backward as forward, and that using F.L.U.D.D. To propel yourself forward (By facing backwards) Does indeed result in more distance, however, I have yet to successfully utilize it on the Training Stage Jump. Someone with more skill than me, try using F.L.U.D.D. and see how much extra distance it gets you!
