"I like that Cat he's cool." That my friend, is Angus Young. Arguably one of the best best guitarists of all time, and damn sure one of my favorites. Technically he is brilliant!!!! But there are those out there that give a lifetime of practice to just play fast! Fingerpicking solos lightning fast!! But what is that?? Its just annoying! 😂😂 No one plays like Angus and Malcolm together! The brilliance of the brothers making this groovy, bluesy, hard but still melodic, is not to include 100 different chords in every song, and play really fast, just to claim, «hey we play advanced» 😂😂 As Malcolm said: why so hung up on the number of chords in a song? Its not how many that counts, but HOW you play them, and HOW two guitarists make it sound for the person listening!!!! You all have heard the beginning of «get it hot»? How many chords are they using each? ONE chord each! And then it comes down to HOW they hit the strings with the right hand, and vary from up to downwards, down to upwards, using maybe 2 or 3 of the strings in the original chord, that usually involves 4 or 5 strings, and then the timing and co-playing with maybe 1/10th of a second before the other one,…this is the brilliant «simplicity» of ACDC! Funny though, that NO ONE plays their songs like they do, even if it involves only an A, D and G-chord in a given song??! 😅 Most dont even try to figure out the timing, rhythm, and hitting, when and how….not just notice, «oh that is just an A chord» 🙈🙈🙈

Brian Johnson has such a unique voice that as soon as you hear it, you know it's him. It's as if he gargles with shards of glass in the morning and then goes out and sings. Phenomenal and then pair that with the one and only Angus Young on lead guitar. It's like he slams an 8-ball before he goes out on stage. So much energy. It just spews out of him. I have never seen them live and I hope to this year. I heard that they may be touring with motley Crue now. Wouldn't that be phenomenal? Fingers crossed!

. “Thunderstruck” was released on September 24, 1990, as part of AC/DC’s ninth studio album, “The Razors Edge.” Written by brothers Malcolm and Angus Young, the song immediately struck a chord with fans worldwide, and its enduring popularity is evidenced by the numerous covers, samples, and live performances that have followed. The opening lyrics of “Thunderstruck” set the scene for a high-energy, thrilling experience. As lead singer Brian Johnson belts out, “Thunder, thunder, thunder, thunder / I was caught / In the middle of a railroad track,” the audience is immediately transported into a place of danger and excitement.

I worked at a facility with young adjudicated males from 14 to 18 years old. Many were gang members. One day, we had a party outside, and I asked the dj to play this. My kids were rocking hard and could not believe that this was "my music". Lol

Yeah it may be unbelievable that some haven’t heard AC/DC songs before but that’s the beauty in seeing this gentleman’s genuine reaction of feeling the energy and really getting “it”. It’s truly a special thing to see. AC/DC has always been one of my favorite go to bands to get me jacked! Whether it was before I took the mound in a baseball game or in the gym or just to pull me out of a low day and set me back on fire. There’s so many songs by the band that get me going, like “Back in Black”, “T.N.T.”, “Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap”, “Shoot to Thrill”, “Highway to Hell”. I could go on and on but I leave with one more and it’s “Hells Bells”. I read a comment under a Hells Bells video that said “ This is my neighbor’s favorite song whether they like it or not.” Which is to say there is only one way to listen to AC/DC and that’s turned all the way up. I Enjoyed the video, keep discovering these songs you haven’t heard before. It’s important. Music is important. It’s our past, present and future. The only real Time Machine.

My kids were maybe 6 & 8 years old, on the way to the water park, slid this CD in and started shaking the car... in the rearview I saw my daughter on air guitar and my son on air drums. My wife looked back at me and then back at them. "Don't worry mummy. It's not loud. It's rock and roll." The song was Hell's Bells.

I love seeing someone's first taste of AC/DC. It always blows them away. For next look try "hells bells" "if you want blood" "back in black" "who made who" or "it's a long way to the top of rock and roll" that last one is a treat and a surprise.
