Portals really mess up the Ice Climbers, do they?

My idea to how they should have done it is that the portal has 2 stages: fully, semi, disabled. All fighters except an Ice Climber can only enter it when it's fully, and it will go to disabled. An Ice Climber can enter when it's fully or semi, and it will go from fully to semi, and semi to disabled. The timer seems to be 3 seconds, this timer is not reset when it goes from semi to disabled, so after 3 seconds from when it no longer was fully, it will become fully again.

I dunno why, but I feel like Incineroar could probably do it. Neutral-B slows down his descend quite a bit, so with a bit sidedrift, second jump and Side-B, he might be able to stall long enough to Up-B into the portal. Not entirely sure about that though 🤔

Not sure why they didn't make it so portals work for Ice Climbers properly. When a portal is disabled, it should have two states: fully disabled and semi disabled. Fully disabled is the normal state it will go to as it does now. But if one of the Ice Climbers go through, it will go to the semi disabled mode instead. Semi disabled has the exact same timer for when it goes back to normal. An Ice Climber can enter a semi disabled as well, making it fully disabled, but it doesn't reset the timer. Now both Ice Climbers can go through it.
