That many hoppers will be laggy AF and slow at transporting cactus, you should try out the flume method. Two big benefits of the flume method: if done right its only 1 layer deep of water, across the whole farm; and you can funnel all cactus into one output and see the massive amount of items fly past in real time.
@Loggenout3 ай бұрын
its more efficient, and faster to build water funnels under the holes in the platforms, they can merge with trapdoors or slabs and ice is only really needed on those parts
@eamaxdxw3 ай бұрын
But hoppers looks too good! Its the one hundred legged insect
@z0rnik4783 ай бұрын
The collection system is in urgent need of redesigning. Water streams would limit the amount of hoppers you need and you'll actually see the total output of your farm, which would be interesting

you turn on the copper bulb by giving a redstone pulse (any length of redstone signal, doesn't have to be continuous like redstone lamp needs) But using them on a large scale might be pretty annoying since they oxidize. If you want to stop this, you'll need a honeycomb per bulb

To be honest, and it's probably just me, I find it a bit aggravating how set he is on making such a massive farm, but is making pretty half-assedly Like, you're going extremely over the top, making a pointless farm, and yet compromise on everything else except for what you should be compromising on (the size)

Water streams are really easy to make. You just need water, blocks surrounding it, packed ice every eighth block and an open fence gate on top of it.
@kiramini223 ай бұрын
such amount of hoppers will cause lag and the individual collection points will be annoying when collecting the drops. a good solution to both problems is to remove the hoppers and chests, build a water sistem to unify all the drops (to the center for example) and build a storage of hoppers and chests there. apart from this crucial storage mistake, great work!

Honestly Juice,if you like glowstone so much why dont you make a witch farm? They drop alot of glowstone and redstone(and sticks so i dont need to break wood into sticks anymore)and its quite easy to make thunder strike based witch farm for me Others use huts but i personally like to use water to move autobreeded vills into 1 block and then use auto lightning strike redstone contraption to turn them all into witches and slay them manually or with wither rose(they have fire res potions so magma blocks aint gonna work) Having 100 vill breeders generating witches is making it relatively nice and sweet for me(to the point i had to install mod that increases item stack size to 10k and learn about item sorters)

do a packed ice road, or a blue ice road if youre feeling up to the grind. can be a bit of a pain to set up, and you may want to encase it in glass and put a torch on every block, but you can get up to like 40 m/s i think on just packed ice, which tends to be faster than elytraing

Am I crazy? I think he could have saved so much time if instead he filled in the cactus cells one block lower than the platform. Meaning, the perimeter of one cactus cell is at say, y = 100 and of dimensions n x n. Then, he built the cactus growing and water area at y=99 and would have dimension (n-1) x (n-1). There is probably an easier way to convey this information, but it struck me that Juice could have saved a lot of time. I'm sorry... Edit: The big layer height (the big 10x10 celled areas) would be one above where he builds the housing for the cacti and the water, and the sand blocks to place the cacti would be at the same height as the big layers. It is most easily visualized at 2:16, the chiseled block outline would be one above where he builds the water housing area. It would look like this from the side --_____--_____--_____--_____--_____--, where the dashed lines are the chiseled stone blocks that he has layed out on every layer and the underscore would be the layer where he places the sand and water on top of.

naah, not really. cactus can turn into bonemeal (but there are way better options) and are the main way to obtain green dye, even through a smaller cactus farm is more than enough for almost all players. this size of a cactus farm is a good old challenge and big project!
