Hi Scot, My aunts works for VRT and before 2015, Belgium didn’t took Eurovision seriously at all. It also had a very bad reputation. The old VRT management even wanted to quit the contest. Since VRT has a new management they really want to win it. The problem with RTBF is that they mostly send great songs, but but just leave the artist to their own devices. For example Mustii, who’s an established Belgian artist and a great singer, but completely failed at Eurovision because of the lack of guidance. One of the managers of RTBF selected this song out of the new songs Mustii wrote, without hearing it live. I hope my country will soon work together to select an artist instead of splitting us up. It would be amazing to see my country winning as we have been sending amazing songs since 2015 and had some bad luck too. Big hugs

I like your reasoning for why certain countries could win like Norway and Netherlands having an upwards trajectory. The same could be said for Switzerland last year who was the country with the most momentum in the last 5 years and they actually ended up winning.

Great video, in Belgium you have a Flemish and a French broadcaster. The Flemish one is indeed the better one. There are some messages that all songs in the national final are amazing, so maybe we (Belgium) has a chance of winning Eurovision. If I’m honest, I am very curious.

Netherlands to win would be awesome! But a country like San Marino, Moldova or Luxembourg would be amazing as well. 😊 Lux rewarded for their return. San Marino for being so small. And Moldova for being a poor country that maybe needs more attention. 😅 I just wanna know more of that country. Eurovision can give Moldova a huge push into tourism I guess. 😊

In Belgium De halve finales zijn reeds opgenomen met publiek en worden uitgezonden in januari, publiek moet geheimhouding tekenen en er wordt gezegd dat het een heel sterke selectie is met een absolute uitschieter waarschijnlijk waren bookmakers aanwezig bij opnames en daarom denk ik staat België op een in odds
