My personal observation: Seulgi - She is the main dancer for a reason. She always hit the steps “effortlessly” and “correctly”. Dramatic facial expression is also her charm when she dances. If you have seen her FMR fancams, you will say the same. Especially in the last part where she does her ad-libs, the way she moves her hands and the “drama” in her face just get well together. Irene - She really is good at isolations. Did you see her neck when Joy’s killing part comes? And her hip too. She has this gracefulness in her when she executes her parts. And by the way, she’s always nailed that intro where she pops her chest and do that certain “swan (?)” step. Wendy - I give it to Wendy when we talk about consistent energy. From start to finish, you will feel her aura. Her dance may often feel like “over-dancing” but as a Red Velvet fan who has seen a lot of their performances, I won’t say that it is just over-dancing. I mean yes it could seldom look like that, but to me it is more like her dancing style and I prefer to see her like that so it will look livelier. Also, in facial expressions, she will give you swag or bubbly - whichever you need. Joy - I am genuinely glad seeing Joy dance like this. She’s always been a good dancer, but she’s become a better one. Her body rolls in the chorus and that hip choreo are just great. She is the tallest among the girls, but you won’t feel like she is- because she blends herself well. And the way she does her killing part and “you and I” part are also amazing (her contagious smile in the former and kinda like sassiness in the latter). Yeri - I like her dance in the “this is gonna be a crazy night.” She is the fourth to do the domino step and she does it well (I was at awe when I first saw that). Yeri does not have much choreo spotlight, but I think she can do better. I always watch their individual fancams and I believe that she can. Maybe just practice more on how to hit the steps with “pop”. (The girls are already good and great dancers, but I hope that their choreographer will pay attention to their unison. I don’t think that it will be very difficult to tell and teach them that.)

@@perryspop thanks for answering. 😊 Over dancing is adding excessive steps and moves to a song for the sake of attention. Trying to compensate for lack of rhythm and dancing ability with a large amount of bodily movement. This is the only definition I could find for ‘over-dancing’ in the urban dictionary. 😅 In which I find not true if you apply to Wendy’s dancing style. She hits every beat of the choreo, does not overpower the group dance and is in sync when called for. As you’ve mentioned in your above comment she matches the vibe of whatever the song is needed and that is a skill itself, projection in a more professional term. I think we need to retire the term over-dancing when we describe Wendy when it’s not 100% true. She is a very skilled dancer along with the rest of the red velvet girls. I am just tired of seeing antis and even reveluvs using that as a drag when Wendy is one of the most captivating performer on stage.

honestly, while watching this video, i can't help but wish for more dance contents from Seulgi, everyday i just wish that she can showcase her dance skills more as a main dancer.. 😭 I mean, her execution is very precise, the flow of her movements, her energy. Thanks for your uploads. They are always great to look forward to. I honestly think Irene just gets overlooked because of her visual tbh. She's really always been an amazing dancer and from Monster Era onward she's Leveled up in her singing rapping and especially her dancing, Where I find myself drawn to her in almost every stage because she tends to add a little extra sass to moves and her expressions are confident, elegant, but chic. Hard to explain. Seulgi eats every time. I also think people are so stuck on wendys debut dancing that they haven't noticed how much she's improved. She's really great at dancing and out of all the members in my opinion she the most consistent with her energy and charisma on stage. Joy and Yeri also always do a good job too. I'd say here they both shown to have improved as well.

People are absolutely stuck in the past when it comes to Wendy. She's way better than they think. Irene showcased her capabilities very well during Monster promotions. People were shocked by how well she danced then and I was like I've been knew. Seulgi's one of the best Main Dancers in kpop and she has a couple other members that are also very good at dancing next to her. Joy and Yeri also have moments where they shine. Red Velvet usually have great stages and now that everyone's being energetic and charismatic they are looking even better these days on stage.

@@eyebrowstj Irene did surprisingly better than I expected for those chest pops, but the main reason why I'm not too fond of Wendy's execution is because her pops are messy and she's the only one taking a mini step on the 2nd "follow" to compensate for her inconsistent chest pops. Wendy knows how to (from her short pop lock and robot dances), but here I think she's struggling with the speed of them because its on each syllable. She just needs to clean up her timing and have more control. And for her arm movement on that part, she leads with her elbows instead of her hands, which is why she's finishes the move early and doesn't have that big semi-circular motion.

I love how graceful Irene is dancing, it's so elegant I've always loved her dancing style And for Seulgi, she has those sharp and precise movement adding to her good control of her body to highlight every move (idk how to say + PS : I'm not even a dancer myself, I'm just a fan loving RV 🤧) Some people think that Wendy is "over-dancing" but I'd consider this as a rude comment as she didn't even join RV as a dancer in the first place and hasn't been a trainee for a long time compared to Irene or Seulgi, and she said herself that she joined as a vocalist and has never been dancing before joining SM and becoming a trainee But you can see in her dance that she enjoys it, and she has great expressions and the best stage presence! its okay We all know she did great. Actually in this dance practice there isn't much diffrence between irene, wendy and joy. They performed almost the same but of course wendy and Irene will still be better. But can we just appreciate joy blending well despite of the height difference. She had to bend her knees most of the time in order to blend in and to be sychronize with the other members

I feel like the song was amazing, the concept and visuals were stunning, but the choreo had so many weird awkward moves and no catchy "point choreos" or flashy "wow" moments... I expected there to be maybe some "ballet" moments to fit the concept or at least some elegant moments but nope... In fact I'm just not sure what the choreographer was trying to go for tbh, and all the girls did amazing with what little they got I guess.Or at least some elegant moments?

I always say that objectively Joy was always the 3rd best dancer until maybe now 4th because of wendy's improvement, people loves to forget that she's the tallest member and that she's always on tight clothes, she may seem stiff to you cause when compared to the others she stands out with her height and we only see her flaws directly, but she's such a good dancer technique wise, she can always tone down her energy to match with the others and always not look akward comparing her height to the others too.

Yeri's flaw is actually more evident. Yeri has problem with timing and messy lines too but I don't see that problem with joy. Joy's weakness is her coordination. Her body is not well connected making her stiff at some time but most of the time she does great specially fluid choreos because joy is more of a fluid dancer.

I totally agree with your analysis but does anyone not like this choreo that much? In my opinion the dance moves are more sharp then expected. Such as 0:30 (Irene’s part) , 0:56 and 1:10 (the chorus right-angled hands part). Cuz personally I think this song is more soft and of a ballet style. If I were the choreographer, I would make the moves more fluid and feather-like instead of sharp. Anyways it’s just the choreo itself that I don’t like. No hate to all the members! The song and styling is great afterall!

@@bamboleo6348 Her popping and locking stands out so much for me. It's a huge part of why she's my favorite dancer and performer because I've always loved that style of dancing the most. Michael Jackson is my all-time favorite dancer and performer and his movements were not only smooth and fluid, but sometimes looked "stiff" due to his locking style of dance. Wendy has her own style of dance that is so fascinating to watch for me personally over a lot of Main and Lead Dancers in kpop. She's not even technique wise the best dancer, but has something about her that draws me in more.
