The land and the memories will forever be embedded into your soul. That will never change. I am sure it isn't easy for pawpaw to watch all the changes that have happened on His land over the years. Lester, you are 100% right to still monitor and help to maintain and repair any damage to the sanctuary. LE and Megan are managing the property for you right now, but think of this as you being the tradesman/owner and they are your apprentices. The intention is for them to someday take over the shop/family business. They still have much to learn, and they can apply their passion for the animals along with the experience which they are gaining, to reach that final goal.
@pamelawells35729 ай бұрын
Lester you are right for not wanting stuff laying around. You have to talk to LE and tell him to have respect for the property. You might need to give him 3 chances to start picking them up. You can’t always be the one to pick up buckets there.❤️❤️ Just a thought

@@longhornlesters Lester? Please enlighten me if you will. With the prospective move of Annie and Indie to LHL, are Donkey Dan and ImaJean staying Ima Survivor Sanctuary? Plus what's going to become of the farthest back pasture that you alluded to some time ago? I don't about others, but I suggested to LE and Megan to add for grazing in the farthest back pasture if it's okay with you and Jami to add ponies, not miniatures/tiny, but ponies(smaller size horses neuter/spayed male and female). They're ading rabbits, but rabbits I don't think are grazers. Donkey Dan and ImaJean alone cannot graze the farthest back pasture by themselves and in my honest opinion, I think adding a pair of ponies, a neutered male and spayed female could help keep the back pasture in good condition. Just saying and curious.

@IloveSituandbob9 ай бұрын
@@ddinottia39I kind of agree with you. No question, Lester is a great parent and has given his son the opportunity to take over the property. The animals are looked after but because it’s his show now, it’s only right that they set boundaries for the pop-in sessions. What if Lester’s or Jamie’s parents popped in a few times a week and always had a critique for them, regardless of the amount of tact used, it gets old. It’s like giving a gift of cash to someone but then telling them how they need to spend it. Same principle applies. LE is young and learning. The critiques don’t have to be many to be hurtful and no amount of positives can erase the one negative. Lester means well, it’s clear but micromanaging isn’t the answer. Lester will do right by his son.

Hi Lester. I respect the decisions you and Jami make. You always make informed decisions. You always do what keeps the animals safe and happy. I never question your decisions.In terms of the ultimate responsibility for ISS, because it's a nonprofit you are the Executive Director, who answers to the Board of Directors. Megan and LE, who do a great job, are the managers/caretakers.I think the difficulty is, you wear different hats particularly with LE. You are his loving father who wants him to spread his wings and fly. But you and Jami ,are also LE and Megan's superiors/bosses when it comes to ISS. It is a hard line to walk. You respect their privacy, and are not intrusive regarding their personal lives. You give them the freedom to choose new animals. No one could imagine ISS without you and Jami being a part of it To quote you, " it's in your blood." Stay blessed. 🌸🩷🌷

Lester, LE and Megan are very capable young people but the key in that word is Young and they still need your guidance. I am your age and I don't think you're overreacting. It doesn't matter how much you love somebody they're never going to take care of your stuff as well as you do. I think that giving them all of that responsibility is a lot. I think baby steps is probably the best way to go. But that's just my opinion and what I've done in my life with my family. They prioritize things a lot differently so you need to be there to make sure. This can be done without micro- managing. I bet you might be surprised they probably don't want all of that responsibility quite yet in their life. Enjoy 🖤💜🖤

You will always love Ima Survivor Sanctuary. That’s where you started you adult life. Where you lived when your children were born and so many other memories. Yes, some good, some bad. You’ll love it as long as you live. LE and Megan are doing a good job with the farm. However, people need to remember they are still in their early to mid twenties. They will grow more into understanding how things are done. Love you and your videos.

First, I'm so sorry that someone temporarily took out the ISS mailbox. And am I the only one that sees that it's looks like a donkey?🤷♀️ Secondly, I totally respect your decision with Annie and Indie. I also want to thank you for explaining it the way you did. Like you have said before - you don't know, what you don't know. Meaning, this move with the Alpacas is basically an experiment. And I really hope that this experiment works out 🙏. You guys have never done anything that hasn't been in the best interest of the animal(s). I want to be the first to say Thank you for ( eventually) doing this. Your love for all of these babies shows in every decision you have made for them ❤ I hope that loading them happens with very few problems. I can't wait to see Annie at LHL for the first time 😍 It's going to be memorable. Lastly, I loved ❤ the outro - you had me blushing 😊 a little bit ☺! Take care and have a gr-8 night 🌙!

Wow that's interesting Lester. I never knew male Alpacas would do that to another. Learn something new every day.😊

You don’t have to let go of the memories, Lester. That’s a dood thing!

They say you learn stuff every day; never knew alpaca's did that. Thank you Lester for that knowledge, i would have never known otherwise.

LE and Megan are doing great but they’re still learning, and naturally you’re going to go over and continue to check things out and they can use your input. You have that right. 👏. I also think they welcome your help if done constructively. 🤗

Lester, I respectfully say this is a well thought out decision and the right direction for Annie, Ernie, Indie, and Oakie.

Lester we're coming in to your kitchen etc....... You have the knowledge and understanding of what needs to happen! People need to respect your opinion and the reasons behind what has to happen for the future wellbeing of all the animals! Nothing is ever going to be set in stone and you never know until you try! Thanks for the heads-up Lester and the kiss 💋 lol! ♥️🤠🙏💕🙏🤠♥️

You don't let it go, you own that land and it is your right to make sure it is taken care of.

I hope in my heart that you never have to let any of your properties go. You pay the bills you help everyone. You even helped every member start. Making a little extra money on videos. That's all been done by you❤❤❤❤
