Eli did a terrific job arranging and directing this one. It’s beautiful. But they’re lightening things up with the next one. In two weeks, their next will premier. It’s another seafaring one, this time hilarious. I’m usually pretty calm watching videos, but at one point I laughed so hard I started a nosebleed! I think you - and everyone - will love it.

I don't understand how they can so consistently make these arrangements as powerful as they do. I LOVE the original, and once again, VoicePlay has taken it to another level for me. Just a ridiculous amount of talent in one group, and their collaborators always kill it, too.

When I realized how much I love Eli's voice I may have felt like I was cheating on Geoff. 😉😉😉😉😉 The only other full cover that Eli arranged was their Eleanor Rigby. He had already written the arrangement when their high tenor, Earl ElkinsJr (with them from the very beginning) left for personal reasons in 2020. Eli had to decide whether to re-write it for four voices or bring in a collaborator. Of course, he did neither, he sang both tenor parts. When you have time, check it out. This one was amazing. My favorite "bit" is the run. run. run when they are all on camera. The lights change on each run, and Eli is directing the lights. Wonderful!! So glad to see this reaction, you are terrific, my friend!

I've heard other reactors complain in the past about Cesar 'acting so much' when he's singing (I even heard one snidely refer to him as "that annoying theatre kid.") Yeah, well THIS RIGHT HERE is what makes Cesar "so very special" as a member of Voiceplay; he totally brought the feels to this piece, and it was GLORIOUS. They all put their heart and soul into it, and I really hope they let Eli do more arrangments for them in the future, because it's clearly (another) thing he's insanely good at.

I feel like this is probably their best work yet, vocally and the arrangement. There are other videos I like better, because of theatrics and visuals, but just on the audio side, this is insane. (Not saying the video isn't good too, though.)

This version was the first I heard and I prefer it over the original since I then searched out the original next. I think you would like Maneskin The Loneliest or Chris de Burgh Border Line. The first is a newer song the second is decades old. Boarder Line is set just before a war. I believe WWII but I could be wrong. The story could be of any man in love just as war breaks out any where in the world. The woman he loves lives in the other country and he is faced with patriotic duty over his duty to her and his heart. He is pleading with her to wait until the end of the war. To wait until there is no border line between them any more and they can be together. A reminder of love and that soldiers are people on both sides of every conflict. Their lives should be treasured and not be thrown away. As an army brat (a child raised on a military base) I saw too many families get word loved ones were not coming back. This song I heard as a child as it was one that stuck. Mind you most of Chris de Burgh's older work I could and did sing to as a child while cleaning the house with my mother and grandmother, later with my own children. My daughters now enjoy his work as much as I did 40 years ago. His storytelling moves you sometimes with tears sometimes with laughter (Patricia the Stripper) that one I suggest you listen to if you want a laugh or at least a smile. Some are more adventure, Don't Pay the Fairiman, or teach a moral, The Tower. Maneskin tends to sound better in Italian, as their words run smoother and the accent fits better. Caroline is breathtaking but the translation is heat wrenching and disturbing.

This so phenomenally fantastic!! These guys can do anything and turn it into gold. Had to grab me a box of tissues for this one. Cesar killed it with his emotions and I feel he deserves a hug, Eli did amazing with this arrangement. I have no words. I mean They all put so many emotions into this song. Thanks for another great Voice Play reaction! This one was different as rock tenor, Eli, did the arrangement (usually Geoff and Layne do all the arrangements) and Eli does the lighting and technical effects so this one is all Eli.
