So many aspects to pick up on - I'm sure that every musician can glean something which really strikes a chord on their musical journey - and there's plenty here which fulfils this function. And if you were ever left wondering, what, within this video clip, to focus on - Gary Karr says it well - whatever you play (i.e. whatever note, phase, or bow stroke) - make sure you play it with feeling. The scintillating common sense of that axiom cannot be denied, eh?

What a great diverse family the double bass world is... and with very few exceptions very nice and collegial people, in my experience... maybe because we all share the blisters, the struggles with getting the right sound out of these thick strings and the carrying around of this huge bloody instrument... anyway, thanks again for a great video and keep up the good work! cheers
