Quick little thing when you have to go from the 8th to the 5th with the little bends John actually plays fifth on the D not the A and it’s subtle you can actually feel and hear the difference 🎉

Thank you very much for all your explanations. This really helps me. Just a little mistake @10:30: Actually, the correct placement of the right hand rhythm is the 3rd sixteenth note of beat 3, so down, and the 2nd sixteenth note of beat 4, so up. Then, back down on the 1st sixteenth note of beat 1 of the next measure.

You got the main riff actually wrong. You're playing the D note on the A string for the riff where John actually plays the G note on the D string. So the intro ends with the C-G-C and then the C-D ending. Then through the verses the riff always is just with that C-G-C ending. The D note on A is only played for the riffs second ending in the intro before the vocals kick in

Great lesson as always. I can't believe your content is free. I've come on leaps and bounds thanks to you. Great stuff. What settings did you use to get this tone? Is it a TS? Or just a tube amp being pushed?

Love your lessons my friend. Been with you off and on since I started playing three years ago and now doing John Mayer songs and John Frusciante and the list goes on. Do you like Kings X? Well let's get busy. Thanks for all your excellent and extensive experience. Peace out.

@@yga listen to" It's Love" by King's X to start. They've been around since the 80's. A couple more, Lost in Germany, Black the sky and Dogman. Tell me what you think. Thanks.

The opening A you play with your thumb is not a staccato 16th note. It's held and rings out as the slide is happening. Don't let go. Great lesson on all the other subtleties and strumming though!

It’s a good lesson but lacks the feeling of the original it’s a bit too “quantised” once you’ve learned the notes you then need to watch Jm trio for the vibe and feel

Man, I'm killing myself trying to get the timing right. I'm using the Metrodome but somewhere I'm missing it, and that's without the ghost notes. HELP!!!!

Hi friends!! Why he used F#m??? because that song i think is in Am. I supose the "correct" will be F.
@CousinOlivier
@CousinOlivier 24 күн бұрын
No! It's in the key of A major. He's playing A7, which is a dominant chord with a M3 and a b7 (tonal tritone). But actually, in exact harmony, it should be in D major or B minor.
