That was so sad. Had she lived and gave birth to her son, we would be the same age. I was born in September 1969. She was 8 months pregnant at the time of her murder in August 1969. RIP to her and all of the victims of that tragedy. Peace and blessings to everyone. 🌹🌹🌹

He was great in the three wilderness movies with Susan Damante Shaw and what I found to be a decent horror flick Snowbeast with Yvette Mimieux, Sylvia Sidney and Bo Svenson. It is on youtube and still at time gives me some chills. The ending was hokey of course.

Professional wrestler Kevin Sullivan passed away on August 9th at the age of 74. Sullivan was well known as a wrestler and booker in territories such as Georgia, Florida, and World Championship Wrestling.

Patti Yasutake -loved her as Nurse Ogawa💐 Whenever there were scenes of sickbay on STTNG, i always looked for her. She did such a great job as a supporting actor, with as much presence as the leads. Loved her work in the Lower Decks episode. Sad she passed so young 😢

Doris Brougham (August 5, 1926 - August 6, 2024) died of multiple organ dysfunction syndrome at Mackay Memorial Hospital's Tamsui Branch at the age of 98. From teaching English to Atayal aborigines in 1951, she became a pioneer in several areas of English-language teaching in Taiwan and throughout Asia. (Citing Wikipedia), "[Doris] was an American and Taiwanese educator and Christian missionary. Studio Classroom, the English teaching program Brougham founded in 1962, has taught English to hundreds of thousands of people in Asia. Brougham also founded Heavenly Melody, the first Chinese Christian choir composing original music, and Overseas Radio & Television, Inc., a media company."

My condolences to the families of those who passed this week. It's hard to believe that it's been 55 years that the Manson Family murdered Sharon Tate and other so brutally and the next day the LaBianca family the next day. I remember Robert Logan who was on 77 Sunset Strip which was one of my favorite Warner Brothers TV shows back in the late 1950's I had my dumb teenage crushes on all those guys. I was so lucky to meet Roger Smith in person and get his autograph in April 1961 at LAX. Years later i met James Garner when he was filming Rockford files not far from where I live. O how I long to be young again.! I pay tribute to my Uncle who was born on August 6 1917 and served in Italy and North Africa fighting the fascists and Nazi's and who passed in January 2002.

Billy Bean was one of three players in MLB who played at about the same time with similar names: There were two Billy Beans, plus one named Billy Beane who went on to be GM of the Oakland A's and Boston Red Sox. And let me echo @sawceboss's sentiments: RIP pro wrestler Kevin Sullivan.

Actor Carroll O'Connor who portrayed Archie Bunker in All in the Family and Police Chief Bill Gillepsie in the TV series In the Heat of the Night was born 100 years ago on August 2, 2024. He died at age 76 in June of 2001.

I agree with you, it is sad. Especially for those who are left behind to grieve. Any normal person who has lost people whom they loved, or people that they admired, will feel badly not only about the loss of the people shown in this week's video, but also for the pain and suffering that the parents, siblings, friends, etc, are experiencing now. That feeling like your heart is being squeezed in a vice and you're not sure that you can continue to live when your world has collapsed. Only someone who has been sheltered from the loss of a loved one would be so callous as to respond to your comment with "Not really". Or maybe they're a sociopath and they don't feel anything about anyone ever. Or they could just be a smarmy little C U Next Tuesday🤷‍♀️. ✌️
