I'm watching In the Heat of the Night right now. They are showing Carl Weathers. I pretty much liked everything he played in. My favorite scene in Rocky was when him and Sly was on the beach. Sly and others appreciated Carl's athletic abilities, he even kepted in shape until the end. I saw him on Barnaby Jones this week. He guest starred on quite a bit cop shows in the 70's. You never heard a bad thing about him. He seemed like a cool guy and nice to have as a friend according to other celebrities. I offer my sincere condolences to the family and friends of all those who passed in this last week.

Carl Weathers was ‘the man’ for many U.K. teenagers in the late 70s and 80s. The legendary Rocky and Predator movies wouldnt be so successful without him. I never saw him many movies or TV productions in recent years, but he will be greatly missed just knowing he is no longer with us 🙏🏽

I still remember Don Murray on the first two seasons of Knots Landing as Sid Fairgate. Such a shock when he was killed off after the accident. Very few fans were expecting it and made it more dramatic than it had been before. He was also in a lot of movies which never knew until recently.

Thank you for including Johnny Irwin and Ian Lavender in your obituaries. Ian grew up in Longbridge Birmingham, UK and my uncle David and he were school friends. When my mom was 8, she asked Mrs Lavender if she could push Ian in his pram - he was a cute baby by all accounts. It is lovely that my family have memories of Ian before he became famous.

CARL WEATHERS.Although he was great on Rocky also remember in 1993 at the start of Season 7 he became the new Chief Hampton Forbes on In the Heat of the Night for outgoing Chief Bill Gillespie who became acting County Sheriff. Those 2 battled some deadly criminal elements and solved tough cases.

More need to learn of Dr. Max Gerson. Discovered the cure in 1928. Killed 1959. Same year law passed...yeah a law only allowing chemo and radiation as treatment. Gerson cured Dr. Albert Schweitzer s wife and daughter of Tuberculosis. Finally given a official test group, he cured 246 of 250 patients.

I have a theory that actors/actresses are under so much stress (especially those not yet ‘Stars’) wondering when or where their next job/or ‘gig’ is coming; that the stress changes the metabolism such that cancers have a better opportunity for growth. I’ve often wondered whether the composition of makeup (especially previous to the 1970’s) was/is toxic.

@@jamessimms415 while I agree stress may be a factor in the growth of certain diseases I wouldn't really say that actors are more stressed than others. My dad was NYPD for 20 years. That is a high stress job. Firemen, paramedics, military now those are high stress jobs. I really don't understand why with all the money that goes into cancer research that we haven't found a cure yet. Some would say it is because it is to profitable for the pharmaceutical company's.

Go back alittle further and you'll find Rosa Parks WASN'T the first women, but the second women who refused to give up her seat . The first one was a 14 year old girl and the organizers of the bus boycott thought it better to have a middle aged black women instead of a pregnant unwed 14 old child demonstrate the boycott! Look it up on the internet or encyclopedia!

@@mageboom6632 Actually, it does. If the above is correct and she was not really the first, her saying she was first and allowing others to do the same shows a willingness to lie, which greatly reduces her credibility about anything in which she was involved.
