The great singer Jim Croce died the day I was born in Louisiana and he was taken to the same hospital I was born in, it was a very small hospital and we were only yards away. Maybe his spirit gave my infant self a little wave as he crossed over. I have always felt a connection to his music.

Sorry. If you registered a thumbs down. I changed it to a thumbs up. I was scrolling down the comments and it hit that down button. While no one in my family landed on Omaha Beach on June 6, my grandfather and great uncle both landed on Omaha on June 7 th. I would never disrespect those hero’s and am mortified that the thumbs down happened, hence this very long explanation.

AND, that he figured out of that which showed us, in his mathematical experimentations, that things like molecules- compounds and structures, can self organise. Like the building blocks for life to occur. He hadn't realised all the implications at the time of his death. It just highlights the hideous tragedy by the bigoted ignorance from what has really sprung out from the religion scourge, impacting all with ignorant laws and their enforcement. The judges sting with those immoral laws and the subsequent actions, of like chemical castration enacted upon him. He knew not of a Russian scientist, nor he of him, who was also coincidentally working on the same thing with actual substances. An American scientist who discovered both men's work, put it all together when he was doing his own research upon the subject. The Apple with the bite out eikon, is homage to Alan Turing. What a loss.
@dukecraig2402

That's not exactly true, just about everyone was breaking the Enigma codes and it was mostly thanks to lazy German operators who didn't bother to code things properly, it was either the Poles or the Czech's who broke Enigma codes first, there was a woman in the US, Elizabeth Smith Friedman, who broke somewhere around 7,000 Enigma coded messages during WW2. What Turing did was make the machines that could break them faster than how mathematicians did it, they built dozens of his machines that were used for it, but the biggest thing he did was break the German Navy's Lorenz code which was far more involved than regular Enigma coded messages, the Lorenz code was a machine that had I believe 5 more rotors on it, Turing's Colossus machine enabled the people at Bletchley Park to break Lorenz almost in real time usually, but not always however, if the German operator's followed strict procedures and didn't do something stupid like sign off every message with "Goodbye and good luck" or something like that which would give the machine a head start by being able to set the rotors for some known words then it took quite a bit longer to break it. The British were the busiest breaking codes because of England's relatively close proximity to the German radio transmissions, the Germans weren't blasting every transmission all around the world, Elizabeth Smith Friedman's work in the US mostly involved decoding messages that were from German spies throughout Mexico and down into South America since it's messages in those area's that were being sent from spies to their handlers in German embassies in those nations that were picked up by US listening stations, her work led to a lot of German spies in the region being captured with some being turned into double agent's, her very existence and her files being declassified that showed her involvement in US code breaking that went back to WW1 weren't released by the National Security Agency until 2008, up until the time of her death around 1980 she never spoke a word, not even to her closest friends, about her top secret involvement with the US government in the field of code breaking, unlike people nowadays who write a book the day after they retire she kept her mouth shut her entire life.

She wasn't the principal actor who played Greedo, it was a British actor named Paul Blake, she played him in some re-shoots that were done in the US after principal photography was done in England and production moved back to the US, I believe that basically it was her in the Greedo costume when you see Greedo sitting at a table and turn around and look at Han when he's sitting at the table talking to Luke and Obi-Wan, but all the rest, starting where Greedo stuffs the blaster in Han's chest and makes him sit down at the table is all Paul Blake.

Funny story about playing Greedo. Greedo was brought to life by 3 people: Paul Blake for long shots with both Han Solo and Greedo in frame, voice work by Larry Ward and Maria De Aragon did close ups where Greedo's mouth and face moved. The articulation device broke just before shooting the talking scene so Aragon was asked to put a clothespin in her mouth to make it move. She later said George Lucas saved her life when he nocticed her making odd hand signals and realized that she could not breath in the mask.

Larry Allen was the strongest lineman of all time, he was close to the world record in the bench press. Defensive players have said they knew they were in trouble if he started making train noises at them because that was a sign he was going to really truck them next play. Fun player, gone too soon

I am shocked to find out Brother Marquis passed away. I use to listen to 2 Live Crew when I was growing up in the 80s and 90s in spite of my parent's dislike for the group. They started the Miami bass trend. RIP to all of the people metioned❤🙏🏻

We should include the memory of the passing of all veterans of World War II especially the veterans and survivors at Normandy. There are an estimated only 200,000 World War II veterans left. It would be shameful for us to ever forget their sacrifices....😊 If we can remember an athlete that can bench press 700 pounds or a rap artist who is “famous” for graphic lyrics we can certainly remember and eulogize our dear VETERANS of the greatest generation...

Yes, Jamal Mitchell, May He Rest In Peace. He was helping the person who took his life. What a sacrifice a policeman gives.... 🕊️💔💗👮🏽‍♂️🚓🚔🚨🥺 I didn't know him, but I have grown sons who I ask the Good Lord to watch over everyday. I'm praying for Jamal's family. 🙏🏽💗

Rob Burrow was only 5'5'' tall, but he was an absolute giant in the game of Rugby League. He was also one of the bravest, most positive people and faced his terrible disease head on. He inspired people to do incredible things to raise money to fight MND and was made a CBE by the King. RIP Rob.

The obituary for Parnelli Jones brings back memories of living in Indianapolis in the 1960s and 1970s. He was the first driver to qualify for the Indy 500 at more than 150 MPH and one of the last drivers to win the Indy 500 with a front engine car. In 1967, he almost won the race again in one of the most unique cars in Indy history-the wide body STP turbine.
