Theirs no need to so strongly prioritise having a right footed CB at RCB to that extent, imho it's better to sacrifise that than changing 4 places and thus it's much better imo that Kiwior just plays CB. That way you can have Partey, Rice and Ode in midfield and Jurrien at RB.

Tierney has played right back for Scotland on more than one occasion. Timber has played right back pretty much all season for Arsenal - Kiwior and Tierney have both played centre back numerous times (including for Arsenal). If the squad can’t be trusted to fill in, why did he sign them? Kiwior was his signing, as were all the players in their squad barring Saka, Martinelli and Tierney. This is his squad, if there’s holes in it, it’s on Arteta. Edit: All these people defending Arteta, just parroting the same nonsense. You have not played well with Partey at right back once. Your manager has spent and spent and spent on the defence but now he can’t or won’t trust players he’s brought in to fill in. Keep defending him, see what it wins you. I agree I would rather see Partey play in the 6, but I understand why he was put there instead of Kiwior. Kiwior has barely played any football and has had it difficult in recent months. The same damm risk he's taking all times using Partey right back, why can he play kiwior in the right CB position mostly when the guy is a defender. He will better try and adjust there than playing a midfielder RB and we keep getting negative results when he play there. Partey stabilized our midfield better than anyone else there, so why can he take the risk with kiwior and if partey plays in the midfield; he and others can help stop the opponent attack and our defense wouldn't be under pressure? Arteta just dont know what to do when he gets a key player injured; he gets confused. Here is what I would do Raya Timber Rice Gabriel Calafiori Partey Odegaard MLS Nwaneri Nelli Havertz Play Rice in his natural position at CB, Push Myles into his natural midfield position and boom, you have a functioning team that is capable of winning games well. Stop with Partey at RB, stop with constantly trying to tweak. Just do like for like switches. It's why you purchased/promoted utility players. Now, put them in the correct positions

Kiwior is not versatile like a timber and he is left footed so he can't play rcb. Plus it would affect build up play and timber inverting on the right would be compromised since kiwior has to cover ground. He would've been cooked by villa

@@timeisontheessence Putting partey in rb disrupts so much positions, its not even funny. It doesnt allow rice to take up that left 8 role, it doesnt allow partey to play as a 6 where he can drive long driven passes to either wing. It doesn't allow timber to support the right side through overlapping or underlapping runs (partey is uncofmortable with this and rightly so because he is a cm). At times, it actually forces odeegard to play deeper to receive the ball as usually partey would be able to deliver long passes at the 6. If kiwior cant be trusted to be a backup cb at 20 million, then i can hardly concieve the point of signing him.

​@lamia1880 putting partey RB is a better alternative to having kiwior as RCB, because with partey he can invert through the middle which allows Rice to push up as the 8 hence why he was bombing forward vs villa. So although right winger isn't supported, you're still forcing the play in the opponents half. When you put kiwior RCB it alters the high line, alters the press, hurts build up play, hurts ball progression because he's a left footer. The team has no choice but to drop deeper and invite more pressure than usual. For the time being partey as right is the best available option since timber is gassed out and there aren't any available RB options
