If you listen to Rose's album you will find she is nothing like Taylor, and she has a very unique self expression that is very refreshing to hear. She does not sing about women empowerment after break ups or hating men which is Taylor's messaging. Rose's messaging is missing her ex, longing, insecurities, how broken she felt when toxic haters cyber bullied her and stalked her. It's very raw, and the songs in her album are all very different from one another. She shows a lot of variety. I hope you will give her more chances! I highly recommend "Stay a little longer" and "Drinks or coffee" from her album if you're not going to listen to the whole thing!

She is also labeled as the "Golden Voice of Korea". She is apart of the biggest female Kpop group "Blackpink" but the members are taking time off to do solo projects.

you should check out her other single 'number one girl' to see what she can really do vocally there are some tracks on her new album where she goes off even more vocally. also something to consider is Rosé is from the insanely popular kpop group blackpink they are the most subscribed music artist on youtube. kpop is a world known to be less authentic with idols not writing a lot of their songs and even when they do not being able to sing about personal relationships since dating is consider a taboo to support the 'idol' culture for fans. blackpink is still a group but the members all are taking a year to purse their own solo projects this is Rosé's album 'rosie' which was all about her stepping away from her kpop blackpink 'persona' and finding the real Rosé or Rosie (the name her friends and family call her those close to her which is why she named the album that). she always stood out having a more singer-songwriter feel to her (she has been playing guitar and piano since childhood before becoming a kpop trainee) kpop is known to have a sort of high coat of polish rosé stripped all that away not doing the normal heavy promotion of teaser photos and videos that kpop artists rely on for hype she let it stand on mostly the music alone with some clever PR like her and Bruno flirting a bit well Bruno writing fanfics really lol. Rosé has said this album is her own personal stories mainly surrdoing one individual 'the ex' so it's very uncommon for a kpop artist espially a woman to acknowledge their personal life in this way it was actually a very big deal she kissed her male lead something else kpop artists just don't do because most fans can't handle it showing Rosé is trying to separate herself apart from just kpop. ROSÉ is credited as the singer, songwriter (composition & lyrics) and executive producer (exc. APT.) for every track on ‘rosie.’ even Apt she wrote and recorded a year before she sent it to Bruno she only asked him to collab after she signed to Atlantic most of the album she record without a label booking studio sessions on her own dollar in LA. she's under warner/chappell music as well as opening her own publishing company, she owns the masters and publishing rights for all the songs Apt included. so considering the world of kpop and the raw and honest look into her as an artist is refreshing.

I have so many thoughts on this MV and I absolutely love Rosé and BlackPink, but going off the Taylor trail. The video is very “All Too Well (The Short Film)” meets “Blank Space”. Don’t forget her and Taylor had an encounter at Electric Lady Studios in NYC last year and exchanged numbers and Rosé said she couldn’t believe it. Who wouldn’t?!? Just saying Taylor is genuinely a lover of being a good person and she always has. It would not surprise me they have talked and have helped or supported each other through the awful place that is celebrity, esp nowadays.
