"The most powerful commercial interests don't need access to Parliament House to access ministers and parliamentarians. It's civil society, academics, trade unions, community groups and other members of the public who depend on access to Parliament House in order to access decision makers."
- Anne Kantor Fellow Vivian Clarke appearing before the Senate Committee inquiry into the presence of lobbyists in Parliament House.

this corrupted system of non constitutional corporation that we call govt needs to be brought down. the people have no access to their own parliament & are silenced at the whim of some authority, usually the police, when & if they do. we need relief & remedy but that is impossible with what we have governing us. it's my way or no way. we have to flood all our councils members & politicians with complaints. let them know our vote needs to be earned.

Like usual, something important to democracy and the politicians are absent from the room, meeting lobbyists, no doubt.

Thanks Australia Institute. I'd like to see an investigation into the access and influence of ' Christian ' aka social conservative lobbyists to parliamentarians. The ACL doesn't even disclose it's board membership citing security reasons. The public electing federal Labor with a strong Independents representation might have toppled the Messiah from the shire but theocratic lobbyists are rarely mentioned when the corruption of lobbyists is discussed. We all know the priveledges given to mining corporate lobbying over the environment for example but if we let the god squad take over how do you turn back from becoming little Godmerica ?

So if it turns out that the "Big Fleas have little Fleas.. and so ad infinitem" is the precise analogy of the actual cause-effect relative-timing ratio-rates Perspective Principle of vertices in vortices manifestation of thermodynamical logarithmic condensation modulation, then not knowing what, how and why we have educational requirements to emulate Actuality as it is. Australia Institute is much appreciated, thanks.

There needs to be full transparency on lobying. We seperated the church and state to stop undue influence, i don't think we will get that with business. So from my perspective every lobying interaction should be public, no N.D.A.s to stop a public access to the meeting. No private meetings as far as business groups and there representatives including union. All infrastructure projects should be tabled at all stages of development, to stop the corruption of all proceedings. To be a government official you must give up all corresponding abountments that can benefit from your position. You must also not be allowed to go into private industry for 5 years after your political career has ended. Stop the rot between big business and government.

9:57 Answer to this guy is to remind him its not his building, and any security issues he has are his problem. And then ask why he wants to refuse access. What a douch....
