i honestly think that mia is one of the overlooked main dancer in 4tn gen. like at first they don't really notice how good of a dancer she is but once you pay attention to her, you will realize at how cool she as the main dancer. also thank you very much for including E:U in this video 🤞🏼

For yall who’s confused whether it’s based on open style or idol dancing, it’s both. There is a reason why the title is named “full package” and not pure open style dance ranking. But most importantly, the video focuses in their overall dance skills. Open style and Idol dancing is a part of the criterion named “versatility” which will now be called “adaptability”. Thanks for noticing my work. It means a lot to me🤍🤍 And to answer your question. I removed Bugaboo and other groups who has disbanded. I did it mostly for my own sake (making the video is not easy for me, and to analyze over 20 main dancers in one video… It’s a little too much for me😅). But I know Jinni is a very very talented dancer so I’m still not sure what to do with her. Let’s wait and see

A lot of things to unpack, so I’ll focus on the things that stood out to me most. Yeji’s torso control isn’t a weakness for her, and simultaneously, Chaeryeong’s torso control isn’t perfect. m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/bWPbhXmHnLGfbas&vl=en Take a look at Chaeryeong and Yeji’s rap parts at 2:00 and 2:48. Yeji got both the quick torso waves and isolations afterwards, while Chaeryeong completely missed the wave and barely managed to get the isolation. Chaeryeong’s technique tends to falter at faster pace, and that applies to her control over all of her areas (I think except for her hip control). This is especially true for her footwork and legwork. Minor change overall, but I would put Yeji over Chaeryeong. Much much better facials, better body control, coordination, BALANCE (Chaeryeong struggles massively with balance), shapes, power projections, and dynamics.

Thanks for the input! I should've worded out differently, but I tried to say her arms and legwork seemed to be stronger than her torso control (not that it was her weakness). But you talked about balance. I've seen her old clips and I know she used to struggle, but do you have any recent clips? i've noticed she gained some body strength, and thought she was doing much better now compared to her past. And about the example you provided; I'm very thankful to you as you stand on your ground and correct me. But I gotta say, I must be very blind cause I can't see much "fault" in Chaeryeongs torso execution. 😅 Yet I gotta admit that Yeji was pretty good there I think the reason why Chaeryeong ranked above the rest was due to her general dance skills, improved strength and for being one of the few with a signature style (not that the others didn't have but she made stronger impact). But I do really see where you're coming from!😄

@@psychorious thank you for the very polite reply! For Chaeryeong’s balance issue, I think it’s still very much there. You can go to 0:59 and 1:47 in the Sneakers dance practice link above. For the torso control example, I feel like Chaeryeong completely missed the wave before the isolation, and then her isolation afterwards was lacking power and strength compared to that of Yeji, but I guess we have different perspectives. The ranking is just a minor thing, but I feel like you should have pointed out more of Chaeryeong’s issues, particularly the ones I mentioned about faster choreography. In faster pace choreography, her body control, sense of shape, dynamics, musicality, and coordination all falter, which I think should be taken into account.

I personally avoid using old clips since people improve all the time, so I don't see why I should take old clips into consideration when judging their present dance skills if that makes sense? 😅 I think from my perspective, what I do like about Chaeryeong, is the fact that she can make whatever choreo into her own (aka. showing her own individuality) which is something I personally appreciate. And even if Chaeryeong doesn't show the best dynamics and musicality during fast phase choreography, we can still see that she has a genuinenly great understanding on the music and she embodies it which I also explained on my other post, is more important than being on "timing". But I gotta say, I loved your genuine comment so much and I respect your perspective as it challenges my own values. Keep commenting! 😁
