These meetings or debates would surely be reflected in some minutes somewhere, right? The answer is a resounding “no”, because no decision of the sort ever came from these sources. Historian Walid Al-Khalidi reviewed every press release of the Arab league, where every critical announcement was made without a trace of such orders. Not content with official pronouncements, he then examined the minutes of the meetings of the Arab League General Assembly from the relevant periods, there was still no trace of an evacuation order. Determined to be as thorough as possible, he then went through the minutes of the Iraqi Parliamentary Committee which was formed after the 1948 war to report to King Faisal on the causes of the Arab defeat.

I want to look into this further - as a Canadian citizen - who is against EVERYTHING Israel, the IDF & even what some of the Israeli citizens are doing to the Palestinians inside & outside of Gaza. I was FURIOUS (& let them know it - repeatedly - while reminding them of my ability to vote in elections) when I found out that Canada sold military equipment to Israel. The pressure that Canadian citizens put on our government with the help of our 3rd major political party (the reason it is good to have a few, but not too many political parties) - led to the March decision (at least in part) to end the sale of military equipment to Israel. What I ALSO found out though, was that while Canada had not stopped the SALE of military equipment to Israel until March, Canada had NOT issued ANY EXPORT LICENSES for this equipment SINCE OCTOBER & had been delaying it repeatedly due to the Israeli action in Gaza. You are saying that Canada issued export licenses in the 1st 2 months (Oct. & Nov.?) I am going to have to look into this. Obviously if it has stopped then there is no further action we need to do here, BUT, as a Canadian concerned about the people of Gaza (& other Palestinians in the area for that matter), I need to find out the actual truth. My heart & prayers to all the Palestinians of Gaza & their family members. Don't lose hope. Stay strong. Things WILL get better - a LOT better. The people of the WORLD are on your side (& pressuring our governments when necessary too - & those that need that pressure ARE starting to feel it.) We DO love you. Keep your thoughts on this & the bright future - which WILL come at the end of this horrible time. 💞 IT IS ALWAYS DARKEST BEFORE THE DAWN.
