Hudson was GLUED to our tv during this entire video. His enthusiasm for this cookie challenge was so infectious. We were holding high hopes for the orange creamsicle cookie! I know that Mickey crewneck is on shop Disney but maybe you’ll come across the size you want in the parks!! Such a fun video!

Gideon's comparison to other cookies may not be fair. Gideon's cookies, texture and thickness is more similar to a brownie or muffin top, overloaded with chips and other ingredients.

Wife and I very much enjoy Gideons , but that Lemon cookie from Summerhouse may be our fav of any of the bunch.

I actually preferred Summer House. It's an actual cookie vs. a big heavy blob of dough posing as a cookie, IMO. A cookie should be crispy on the outside and have a chewy interior and Gideons "cookies" don't have that crispy outside. I had the lemon cookie at Summer House and I couldn't stop eating it. But, everyone likes something different. I definitely think people need to give it a try.

That banana bread cookie is SO GOOD! I actually had the chocolate chip walnut at summerhouse and it was really thick, reminded me a bit of Gideons so maybe give that one a try!!

I would have chosen a more neutral place to do a cookie review. Summer House cookies are classic cookies. Gideons cookies are more like an amped up version of a brownie and a cookie combined. Both cookies are good. Great review. 😊

As much as I love Gideons, I don't consider Gideons a cookie if that makes sense. It's a dessert from another planet just like a Frankenmuth strudel or a Miami Key Lime Pie. It's a standout, so to compare it to another regular cookie company, it's definitely not a fair challenge 😂😂😂😊. I don't think that a rice Krispy treat is a specialty bake good either. I find that to be a very basic baked good again compared to Gideons cakes. So as much as I love the idea of a comparison, is there really one? Happy New Year! I love your thought-provoking ideas. ❤

My son told me about Gideon's at east street market in Orlando. No lines and no waiting. Same great cookies!! Pack some insulin with those Gideon cookies. Great video.

One time when I went to Disney Springs we were waiting on our dinner reservations so we went to Gideons. They asked if I wanted a hot cookie. I thought it meant just a fresh baked cookie - I had no idea it was a cookie topped with a huge scoop of ice cream! It was SO yummy but I then felt rushed to finish the whole thing since it was also time to go to The Boathouse right after for dinner! Lesson learned. 🍪

I love the shirts and the cold brews at Gideon's. I have gotten there at 8:30 pm and told that the virtual que was full and that I would not be able to get in that night. After driving to DS, going through security, parking in the garage, walking down there... Yeah it can be disappointing!

A couple weeks ago we were there before a cruise and i tried to have 2 summer house cookies and 2 gideons cookies from afternoon to the next morning for the cruise and i was only able to finish like a quarter of each and i can usually eat everything so that was surprising

We bought a couple gift cards from Summerhouse for Christmas gifts and are planning on lunch or dinner ourselves soon. I will plan on getting my dessert from “The Big G” though🤗lol. The way you described Gideons chocolate chip cookie is what I dislike in a cookie. I like cookies cooked through, not doughy. I also love chocolate, but there is such a thing as too much for a cookie. I would go Summer house. To me Gideons seems over the top like voodoo donuts. I like regular. So I would avoid Gideons.

I made a copycat of Gideon’s pistachio cookie-it was pretty good but I want to try the authentic one plus some of the others. The peanut butter cold brew with the banana nut cookie sounds like an amazing combination

Loved this video. I always wanted to know if Gideons had a gluten free cookie. Because of that, my vote has to go to Summer House. I could never eat a Gideons in from of my autistic child who is GF. Crumbl is great! It’s waffle week. Waffle is one of my all time favorite Crumbl flavors 😍 Crumbl is significantly better than Summer House cookies as well

Gideon's barely qualifies as a cookie. They are a giant lump of cookie dough, that is not baked through.

The only downside of Gideon’s cakes to me is that they are refrigerated which makes the frosting a little hard. I prefer it room temperature.

I feel like with the frosting they use they have to be in the fridge but I understand! I wonder if it would taste better for you, if you got it & let the cake sit out for a little to get to room temp

I believe you’re correct. I think I heard that before about the frosting needing refrigeration. I can never eat the whole slice so I bring the rest back to the hotel. Later in the evening when the frosting is softer I enjoy it more. Just a personal preference though. You do really good work BTW. Keep it up!

I honestly dont understand the hype with gideons. I have gone there 3 times and everytime, I just dont get it. I love cookie dough gooey type cookies and gideons arent like eating cookie dough. I actually prefer their cakes over their cookies. 😅 I'll try summer house next time I am there.
