Hiya, the punch machines use a light beam to calculate the speed with which the bag moves across the beam. It then converts that via an equation to force generated. But it only registers speed at a single point, the moment the arm holding the bag crosses the light beam. So catch the bag at the end of your punch when your hand is moving the fastest. It doesn’t calculate or register the mass of punch so it is not an accurate measurement of force.
@PanicMachine423

Super informative and genuinely interesting. Thanks for that 👍🏻
@Dguez303
@Dguez303 2 ай бұрын
So why are there 2 modes for the machine for both speed and power, you can set what mode you want to try. I've seen a lot of big guys throw a slow ass punch but blow through the numbers and a smaller guy with more speed not get the same score.
@jdenmark1287
@jdenmark1287 2 ай бұрын
@@Dguez303 because there are a lot of gullible people in the world who will believe anything they want to already believe. Force is simply mass times acceleration or F = m • a. These machines do not measure the mass of the punch or even puncher, nor do the measure the acceleration, which would require the time it took for the bag to cross two fixed points, or the difference between two points of speed divided by the distance between those points. You could create a measurement tool that registered the force generated by a punch in newton meters, the simplest being the g shock stickers like they use on crash test dummies.

Just admit it, he's afraid of losing to someone his own size that actually trains grappling. Tom is the interim champ. The champ fights the interim to unify. Tis not complicated to understand. Also, Jon Jones became “good” after fighting legends when they were >35 years old. Tom is heavier than Tommy and taller with more experience as well (31>25)... don't know why you're comparing a heavier MMA heavyweight GOAT to an average pro boxer or above average amateur boxer who weighs at least 40lbs less with a 5 inch disadvantage in height.

@@MMAisTHEbestSPORT08 The thing is. Aspinall would beat any boxer with ease. Even the best boxers. It's mad how mma fighters are the peak fighters.

@@arandomhandsomeman7725umm nope. You HEAVILY underestimate a boxer's twitch speed. Tom would get knocked out in seconds. All the boxer has to do is land one punch. One. The only way Tom wins is if he buys time by going down for grappling. Kicks won't do it as most elite boxers have superior head and upper body movement to dodge or atleast deflect those. And mind you once again. The boxer needs just one punch. Tom would have an oxygen mask on him in 2 secs

@@rajeebdas1724 It's just stupid. MMA is the next best thing after street fighting. Why would a man who only trains 2 parts of his body, best someone who trains all parts of the body save for the private areas. One good kick is all it takes for an MMA fighter. The average MMA fighter destroys the average boxer in a street fight.

@rajeebdas1724 aspinall is a legit boxer trains with tyson all the time and was even debating on a boxing career before he joined the ufc tom would beat the brakes off 80% of these boxers in boxing and in MMA every last one of them he's beating and yes he's beating the brakes off tommy in boxing only few guys in heavyweight could beat tom in a boxing match he's an extremely well rounded fighter

Take some high level athletes and boxers to your camp Tom, if you want to compete with Jones, because look he's training with Gable Steveson an American professional wrestler, Gordon Ryan American submission wrestler with third-degree Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt, His caliber of training is so high,There is one place where I am sure you can blow away Jon Jons and that is your punching, your punching speed, why don't you get good boxers from UK like it Tyson/ AJ with whom you train in boxing and punching exchange, so when both of you are together then you hit him in the first second itself & will blow him off the canvas..!
