"what does power look like?" Easy, it looks like lightning coming from your hands to attack a Jedi master.

I'm offended by the Evermore comment, it's my favorite album 😭 And also I finally know what an Oligarchy is.

love it, but what's with the evermore slander?
@TCW7917 ай бұрын
I mean, evermore is great but I would only play it at a reunion party if I wanted everyone in attendance to either weep in a corner of the room or stare off into the middle distance regretting their life choices . This would happen for most people somewhere between “Champagne Problems” and “Tolerate It”. Personally I think people want to wait until *after* the party to regret their life choices?

10:18 Well gay marriage was shouted loudest and longest than all other policies and was the one Hollywood supported the most.

This is a very US take on politics and government. Even the discussion ( 8:59 ) of "individualism" is framed in an American way. Earlier was shown the Japanese imperial family, and in Japan the concepts of individualism and egalitarianism, as expressed in this video, may not even be brought up when discussing politics. Furthermore, in the list of government types, left off was idea of _theocracy_ , which is strong in some societies. This is not surprising as US colleges (and Study Hall is an operation of Arizona State) tend to avoid discussions of religions.

No treatment on political extremism and polarization in modern US politics? The outsized influence of money since the 2010s? Gaps that need to be filled, to be sure!
