I’m a fan of this series, and this video was no exception. One note: “equal parts” and “50/50” are the same thing when talking about two substances.

Hola: in Dry martine.. qustion name of Vermuth?
@MrMuel120510 ай бұрын
Churchill was rumoured to glance at the vermouth while pouring the gin. My Harry's Bar guide says to rinse the chilled glass with vermouth and double strain gin stirred with ice. I personally go with 2.5 gin 0.5 vermouth, double strained into a chilled glass.

I learned early to stir my good cocktails, gets it cold and doesn't bruise the liquor (Gin)? I've never heard of the early 1:1 ratio of gin to vermouth, but I like your recommendation to try out different proportions. I do like a Gin martini with a good portion of vermouth, at least a bar spoon or 1/4 oz. I've never understood dirty martinis unless you're using a "well" liquor. If using a good Gin (Beefeaters, B. Sapphire) , I want to taste the flavors and not olive juice. It's like using a top shelf Bourbon or Scotch and mixing with Coke or a heavy mixer. ??? How can I taste/enjoy my premium liquor !?

Fill a cold martini glass with good gin a couple of olives and call it a night.
