Nicely presented history! I'm a G&T guy but a martini now and then is quite nice. For G&T: I do like a splash of St. Germain on the top if the gin that I am drinking does not have its own botanicals.

Thank you fo letting us know! 🙏🏽 G&T is a classic, but for me it doesn’t get better than a good Dry Martini 🍸 Cheers

If I had to pick one drink, and one drink only, for the rest of my life, it'd be a gin and tonic with The Botanist and Fever Tree Mediterranean Tonic water, in a 4:8 ratio, with one part fresh-squeezed lime juice, about three drops of orange flower water, a spritz of grapefruit oil and a sprig of rosemary.

I like a good dry martini with a twist of lemon. Stirred, not shaken. You don't want to damage the delicate flavors of Gin in a spirit forward drink like a martini by shaking it.

definitely the original martini with a orange twist

Great video, i'm gonna subscribe today and hit the bell. BUT...the first vending machine is from the ancient romans. One would put a coin in a machine and it would dispense a small amount of holy water.

I was led to believe that Gin originally came from southern Italy, Flanders and the Netherlands invented by alchemists and monks in late 16 century.

Based on our research there might be some inaccuracies in this theory. Hope you found this video useful and fun. Cheers and happy Friday 🥃

Gin definitely came from the Dutch Juniper spirit called "Jenever" (Juniper in Dutch) and it is the actual literal father of Gin - thus its also dubbed Dutch Gin to this day - one visit to the Netherlands will show you the wide veriety of Dutch Gins that go from dry gin style to the classical Old style Gins that taste and look like a mix between gin and scotch.
