I'd rather watch Hibiki's Lily than any of this Luke Ken snoozefest. She's got explosive offence and momentum when she gets going, Hibiki makes a lot of comebacks from situations where a lot of people would be preparing for the next round it's a shame Lily's defence is so poor.

2:42 I have issues trying to come to terms with this as the "definitive right decision", it makes sense for Tokido to want to switch up from an option that is trying to beat the previous one but on the other side of things Mena is using a defensive option against what he think the upcoming adjustment will be. Would it be wrong to wait until after Tokido represents the throw option before using something to beat that? And is Tokido wrong for not calling this out and going for something to beat the backdash like a second strike option on what would be trying to adjust for the potential adjustment from Mena? To me it all spirals into the potential of "I know that you know that I know" and just comes down to a guess in this scenario which happened to go in Mena's favor

Interesting meta development in styles, seeing a lot more people comfortable burning out for big leads. 2 weeks after the game came out it was avoid burnout at all costs, its your real lifebar, but now the burned out defense is getting pretty comfy for top players. Doesn't mean you Yolo your drive gauge for a 50% on your first touch, but you can make smarter risks knowing you can lean back on a more defensive playstyle.

Don't get scooped lol It depends on your character, if you can zone, that's a good plan, if you can't try and keep at mid range, his mid range is kinda weak. play slow, hold your space, he wants to give you a big ol hug in the corner, don't let him do that

Most of the time top players are weighing risk vs reward, reading habits of the opponent, reading game state and the emotional state of their opponent, etc before they attempt things like this. They know when to dial it up and are also very good at pulling back and staying solid If you ask a diamond or below player why they drive impacted there, the response would be one of the 20 different variations of "Idk". That is the difference

Daigo acknowledging Angrybird is the best Ken doesnt make him a "huge fan" Angrybird is good, but let's not pretend he didn't have a huge head start in the game via the cracked beta. He should have been banned from all competitions for the first year. Watch him beta 1 footage and compare it to beta 2. It's painfully obvious😂
