All of the categories are very close except for the one most important to points...playmaking. That one is not very close. Ty is the best player and by the end of this next season it won't look so close. Pacers go to playoffs, with Ty on the leaderboard for assists and steals. Ty's D will also improve, while Brunson will always be short.

Well like I mention in the video, Brunson has a slightly higher percentage this past season, but shot quite a bit less as far as volume (a raise in volume typically causes a decrease in percentage) for the rest of their careers Haliburton has been a higher percentage shooter. Along with that, Hali has superior range. If Brunson’s volume increases next year while keeping a 40% 3pt percentage, I would give him more credit here, but he just isn’t as good as Haliburton at shooting as of now

@@hoophierarchy Brunson is the better player, because he has shown it with Dallas in the Playoffs, and with the Knicks Spolstra has said as much in regards to Brunson. Even in head to heads Brunson be cooking Haliburton. Last but not least, what has Haliburton done in his career, let alone Indiana in regards to team success? This is why Kerr went with Brunson foe team USA, because he is a better leader than Haliburton. Place Brunson on that same pacers squad, and there's no doubt in my mine, there at least a play in team, put Haliburton on the Knicks, and they don't make the playoffs. Give me Brunson all day

He literally had no help in the playoffs and he still perform at a very high level. Guy has been a proven winner everywhere his been. I think Hali is great but man Jalen has that “IT Factor” that Dog mentality. I don’t see that yet on Hali. But he’s young let’s see what happens.

Haliburton definitely puts his team on his back aswell. He's their leading scorer and they almost lost every game he missed with injury. Plus, imo, being a crazy efficient 20 & 10 guy is way better than a less efficient guy who scores a little more and makes less plays for his teammates. Those extra assists give might aswell be Haliburton co-scoring and running the whole court with his crazy basketball IQ. Brunson great asf still tho

Stats don't lie, Brunson played almost 2 more minutes than Haliburton last season. Making only 4 points less than Brunson. Same Reb. Hali had over 5 more assists.. plain and simple. If Hali gets the 35 mins Brunson gets. He will have more points, or same around 24/5/12 assists.. Brunson won't even average 5 assists and probably 4 rebounds. Lol... How this is even an argument is a joke. Brunson at his age should be better.. but Hali is younger and already better.. and gets better every year..

No one that looks or compares these player's. Ever look at minutes on average played per game.. Hali blows Brunson away in every category if given same minutes. Averages a Double Double of well over 20ish points and will average 12 assists this year with probably 6 rebounds. So good luck to ever see that from Brunson tiny azz.

@hoophierarchy
@hoophierarchy Жыл бұрын
The critique of it being a superficial comparison while you say something like “he’s just more clutch” is contradictory. I provide statistical evidence in all notable guard categories, which is 100% substantive as opposed to superficial, while saying Brunson is “top tier under pressure” is opinionated. I don’t disagree, I think he’s great under pressure. But what evidence are we using to make that comparison? Can we say that Haliburton is not clutch? He’s hit a number of clutch shots in his career. Brunson has been around longer and has played on better teams so he has more big game opportunity to make that kind of play. And again I’m coming at this who believes that as far as accolades and accomplishments go, Brunson has the edge. I just think making the statement that a deep dive comparison covering EVERYTHING is somehow superficial when just narrowing down the whole comparison to something as ambiguous and hard to measure as “big game player” is pretty ironic

If you take away the playoffs argument, Knicks fans have no case in saying Brunson is better than Hali. If the players switched teams the Knicks would absolutely make the playoffs and possibly go further with Hali. I’m confident the Pacers will make the playoffs this year with Hali will continuing to emerge as one of the best PGs in the league and this debate will be over.

I respect your opinion in who is better, I just disagree with nearly every statement you made😂. Most of the statements are also easily disproven with even a slight bit of research. It’s like how I mentioned at the beginning of the video, most people’s arguments are purely emotional based on this and don’t really use logic, just pick the guy they like more. So that’s fine, you can do you. It’s also disingenuous to say that anyone who disagrees with you “doesn’t watch Brunson” or “has no idea how anything works”. You think people can’t watch the same thing as you and come to a different conclusion? It would be really impressive if I was able to study, edit, and upload a deep dive analysis on Jalen Brunson’s game without ever watching him play

Bro what the hell u talking bout?? Halliburton averages 10assist a game. Us New Yorkers make ourselves look silly when we overhype our players and find any reason to put them above others. Halliburton is the better point guard for now. He plays better defense and gets almost twice as many assists
