Hi, Thanks for reacting to my email, sorry again for the length of it. Also don't praise me for my writing, I had to copy and paste some sentences from different sites because of my lack of academic English. So at University this would be considered plagiarism, haha, but since this wasn't a University examination, I thought it didn't matter too much - after all, I did state my sources. About my comment on “that YT channel” in the letter - it has become more apparent to me now that there are split opinions on the matter. I tried to be respectful when addressing them in my letter, because even though I may not always personally agree with every comment they’ve made on BTS, I also can’t deny their importance to A.R.M.Y. when it comes to better understanding BTS lyrics and learning about Korean culture. I give my most sincere apologies to those who were offended by and didn't want to be associated with my statement. I should have used my words more wisely and been more sensitive to other people's feelings on the matter. As I'm hearing Esco reading that part, I cringe that I wrote it. I come of as entitled, it wasn't my intention and I'm sorry. To tell you the truth (and no this isn't just me back peddling on what I said), as I wrote the email, I didn't know what words to use as I mentioned them. Ironically, the reason I chose those specific Words was because I didn't want A.R.M.Y.s to get upset. I myself have mixed feelings about them, but I usually try not to let that be visible when recommending them to reactors - because I still think they have some very interesting videos that are worth watching. I'm not saying that they are the only ones that make explanation videos, or that theirs are more accurate or important than others. So yeah, my intension was to recommend their content, regardless of my own personal opinions on them, and without insulting A.R.M.Y.s. This all blew up in my face and understandably so. I take full responsibility for what I said, and I'm going to use my words more carefully next time. For those that still hold a grudge against me, I don't know what to tell you other than that I genuinely didn't mean to upset or hurt anyone's feelings. Also, I want to thank the A.R.M.Y.s that have added info to the members’ academic background. As I’m reading the comment section right now, I see there were a lot that I already knew, but slipped my mind as I was writing the email. So that’s awesome that people are adding things. About the "5.18" part - it was a reference to May 18 1980, about Kwangju Uprising (Rebellion) which was a mass protest against the South Korean military government. Nearly a quarter of a million people participated in the rebellion and it is considered to have been a pivotal moment in the South Korean struggle for democracy. It is highly controversial to mention it, even in recent years, so that is why J-Hope's former teacher praised him for doing so. I would like to explain a little about the whole YT situation. YT often reject my comments and they’re not visible to others. Whenever I try to add links, timestamps or even at times just spell out other channels’ names in comments, YT for some reason don’t allow it. Sometimes I’m not even allowed to spell out YT’s name, but other times they let me although it’s rare, it’s super confusing. Even though my comments are successfully posted, only I can see them most of the time. I honestly have no idea whatsoever why this happen. It’s not that I’ve broken any rules, been disrespectful towards anyone in the comment section, used foul language etc. - it has been this way since the day I made this account. Oh yeah, that reminds me. I made another long comment on your “BTS - REACTION #6 - BTS (방탄소년단) "We are Bulletproof": the Eternal' MV” video that doesn’t show. Apparently from what I’ve read on *hmm let’s be careful now so that YT accept this comment*… “The universal search engine that the whole world use”… *yeah that should work, let’s go with that*, the YT user whose video one has commented on, can make “invisible comments” visible to others. It says that comments like mine might have been accidentally labeled as spam if the YT user has blocked spam comments. I see other users post links in their comments *says dreamingly*, and I want you all to know that I am jealous of you *gives stern look*. No but on a serious note, if anyone knows the reason for all of this, please let me know. I keep editing my comments all the time, without success, so that YT will accept them and I’m sick of it at this point. I was “the invisible kid” at school, now I’m “the invisible adult” in the comment section, but I wear that title proudly. Just like Jimin in his little cabbage costume in the 21st century girl dance practice, I’ll pop up every now and then as well. So yeah, even though you might not always see me, just know that my “ghost comments” are forever floating around BTS reaction videos - answering your questions, showing my support etc., without you ever knowing. If no one ever see this comment because of YT, I would just like to say… “Boo, this is the ghost commenter speaking - I purple you A.R.M.Y.”. Yours Sincerely, The Ghost Commenter, a.k.a. M PS. I just realized that I forgot to post the links to "Baepsae". If anyone would be so kind to give Esco the link to the color-coded lyrics video and the dance practice, I would really appreciate it since I personally can't because of YT. Also, another thing. I just noticed that I must've left out one bit I wrote in the comment on YT, as I copied and pasted it to the email. It was the part about J-Hope's academic background. I also wrote: "J-Hope also seem to value education because he even donated £65,000 to Jeonnam Girls’ Commercial High School in South Korea, which is a school scholarship fund designed to help female students from low income backgrounds".

The email you read here was great, but I'd like to add a few things about, "Spring Day," if that's OK. 1. DKDKTV does have some great explanation videos, but their video for, "Spring Day," is not one of them. They made it as soon as the MV was released & they had a pretty light-hearted tone throughout. They entirely missed most of the allusions & metaphors - probably because they reacted immediately w/o giving themselves time to research what they saw. 2. A lot of people watch the explanation video that was linked in the email you read. While it is good, it's more of a quick overview than a detailed explanation. It also misses or omits some of the references in the MV, especially to the Hillsborough Tragedy. This explanation video is far more detailed & I think does a better job of conveying the context of the song & MV: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fKO3ZZSVe9xppqc&ab_channel=ItalianARMY 3. With regard to the blacklist described in the email you read, Bong Joon Ho - director of last year's Best Picture Oscar winner, "Parasite" - was one of the artists on that blacklist. The massive protests that triggered the impeachment (and subsequent prosecution), of President Park were directly tied to artists like Bong Joon Ho being free to continue to make films as critical of society as, "Parasite." Not coincidentally, Bong Joon Ho was also the director of, "Snowpiercer," the film which is referenced several times in BTS' video for, "Spring Day." In other words, the MV for Spring Day was doubly risky for them, as it contained references to a forbidden subject, the Sewol Ferry tragedy, as well as the work of a blacklisted artist. If you read all of this, thank you!

100% agree with recommending Italian Army's video instead. The other one is good, but their video goes very in-depth and explains the tragity a lot more. Shame there's not many reactions to it. It such a good video.

Shruchitri Katwinsa Reena Absolutely ! I have dropped more than one reactor for being on the BTS train just for their own profit. One was just a few weeks ago. He was great when he started, but when the gifts and money started rolling in he changed. All of a sudden if you wanted to see his reaction when a new song dropped, you had to subscribe to his patron page. I asked him why. I thought patreon pages were used for Run BTS, Bon Voyage, and awards shows that got blocked on KZbin, why did we have to start paying for new music and mvs? He got so pissed and told me that because I couldn’t pay it showed I wasn’t real ARMY and I was full of Fake Love ! He then posted another message and told me not to let the door hit me in the ass ! I swear, in my humble opinion, I think he was using army.s generosity to pay for his weed that he always talked about, and even was shown smoking on one reaction! HE WAS FAKE ARMY !

cyann410 it’s sooooo disappointing when that happens 🥺 BTS deserve genuine love and we as ARMYS deserve decent interested reactors. Fair enough if u don’t like them give em a fair shot make a decision and move on. Don’t make us pay for reactions a million and one other people are reacting to for free! I dunno bout everyone else but I’ll pay if the genuine reactor has a reaction they wanna share with us but it keeps getting blocked. There’s been a few new reactors that I feel are 100% and a few who got unsubbed so quick for doing one or two vids and then start begging for like comments and subs. Nuffin annoys me more than when I hear “ trying to get 100k subs so I’ll drop another reaction when we reach that number” -Bish🤬 we ain’t here for that kinda reactor.

Kimmy H exactly ! When Jin released a solo last year, we all kept asking this one reactor to please stream Jin’s new song. He got furious and told everyone he was not going to stream Jin because he was more interested in gaining his subscribers to get his plaque ! He lost over2000 subscribers that week !

@@cyann410 I know who you're talking about. He also got into a very unpleasant fight with Army on Twitter when someone commented on his rap of Jin's Tonight which was a sad n personal song. Like you said he's only interested in his 100k sub. He tended to sexualise the BTS members n over-reacted like acting. Anyway, he got his 100k coz he knew how to buy many Armys' hearts. After he reached his target then he switched to 1D n gained even more subs. Sorry for the long ramble. Just wanted to share my thoughts on this subject💜

Emily Lim HE LEFT REACTING TO BTS ?? Shows where his heart is.... when ARMY caught on to him and let him know they knew what he was doing, I guess he had to move on. I thought in the beginning he was serious about BTS, even though he was way too dramatic. It is funny, because the first guy I was talking about is also over dramatic. Right now my fav reactors are WhatchaGot2Say. It is 2 brothers and a best friend. One has a dance studio, and one is a music producer and singer/rapper. They truly love BTS, and are crazy funny, too !

This is why I have always said, BTS is like no other group. You do not get empty fluff in their songs. If you take the time to dig, you will find very deep messages with important meanings. They stand alone, but at the TOP ! Other fandoms try in every way to drag them down, but BTS perseveres.💜💜💜

Wow, that person is a true ARMY! Very well informed and it is clear that they love the boys very much. However, I would like to mention on only one thing they stated that I totally disagree with, and that is the channel DKDKTV. While it is true that the channel has given ARMY great explanation videos for some of BTS’ more complex songs, it is NOT TRUE that they are loved by Army. In fact, most veteran ARMY do not give them any views because of one of the members, Danny. Danny did a podcast with a journalist (Tamar) from Billboard who ARMY hates because she is constantly defaming and lying about BTS. They talked about BTS the entire podcast (one hour), but said that people are sick of BTS and that we should give other groups a chance...when ARMY rightfully called them out (this channel had become massive thanks to ARMY subscribers), Danny started replying to those commenting, using such words as “Go fuck yourself in the ass 500 times” “Unsubscribers, bye” “Don’t ever come back”. It got the point where his friend, David, had to apologize. More recently, the did a video on Yoongi’s Daechwita that K-ARMY (Korean ARMY) were very upset with because they didn’t explain “Hyunta” correctly. If you watch the DKDKTV video, you’ll understand. I’m not saying don’t watch their explanation videos, because they are honestly very great, but please understand that ARMY does not support this channel. The reason why you see these comments talking about “Clout” is because “ARMY Clout” is a very real thing that unfortunately has been abused in the past. We love everything about the boys, and when people with a platform show any sign of interest in them, we tend to engage with them en masse. You are witness to this, as your subscribers have risen exponentially after reacting to BTS. People from the entertainment industry also know this, and have tried to abuse this in the past. Journalists, Radio Hosts, KZbinrs-even companies such as Panda Express, Samsung, Uno-they know that engagement from ARMY means revenue. Luckily, ARMY has learned all the tricks of the trade. One of the biggest reasons as to why BTS have made it so big (the main reason, of course, being the amazing, talented, hard-working members themselves) is because ARMY took the time to learn the industry. We know how it works, in an out. We know the charts, we know how to count numbers, we know how to stream, we know how radio works, how playlisting works, how awards are given out-we know the big names in the industry, directors, critics, managers, journalists....we know. The biggest mistake people make is thinking that ARMY are a bunch of screaming teenage girls (and insult towards teenagers and women). ARMY are majorly adults. But not only are we adults, we are also educated adults. Lawyers, professors, doctors, journalists, judges, producers, authors, analysts, translators, economic consultants. And the one thing that unites us is the love we all have for BTS.

Stephen Alterman I apologize as well if I came off as rude towards you. I really loved your email and it made me happy to see other people as passionate about the boys as I am, specially since (I’m assuming based on your email) you are a newer Army. I understand people that like “that” channel because honestly, their explanation videos are very good, and David isn’t that bad. But a lot of people don’t know the other side of them and that’s why I made my comment. I agree with you that they are good to recommend (I also recommend them often) but it is also good to know both sides of the story. Again, I’m sorry if my post made you feel called out, that was not my intention, and thank you for loving the boys so much.

Regarding Jin's education, he was a university student in Konkuk University (one of Korea's top universities) before being a trainee with BTS. He was on the way to school when he was scouted by a Big Hit staff (for his golden visuals) and was asked to audition as a trainee. (Note that he had no prior background in singing and dancing, and he had to learn from scratch.) He eventually became a trainee and then a member of BTS, while still finishing his degree in the university. There was an article published about his professor being so fond of Jin because despite his busy schedule with BTS, he still submitted his school requirements on time. He would request to do individual work instead of group work so he doesn't hassle his classmates, and he would always inform his professor if he cannot make it to class. He graduated from his university in 2017, but couldn't attend the ceremony because of an award show. He was upset about it, but the members surprised him with cake and flowers!!!

I really think you need to check out "What you still don't know about the spring day mv" by Italian army when you react to spring day and it's explanation. It's a video explaining in depth the Sewol tragedy . The 2 videos that were requested are the most popular ones , I am not complaining there's good reasons why ,but I think this video made by Italian army is really well done even if it's underrated. But worning ❗️⚠️❗️it can be hard emotionally to watch but if you are really interested I think you'll need to watch it too. Damn if I haven't listened and watched this as if I hadn't known all this information already. :D She/He is right. You are really one of the few reactors who plunged into BTS Universe with such seriosity. This is how most dedicated fans actually learned about BTS. Days and nights of reading articles and watching documentaries about them, besides discovering their music in parallel. It's something about them that strikes right from the very beginning and which makes you want to dig deep into who they are and what they do. You are doing a great job! A small piece of advice... at one point, things will become overwhelming, as these boys tend to become the center of your own universe (because of their inherent and insane charm and uniqueness). You will easily recognize that moment. Know that it's OK to take a break and deal with your own stuff first. They don't go anywhere, their music likewise. :) They will be waiting for you even if the break means just 2 hours or one day. lol

When you get around to watching an "explained" video, I suggest the one by Italian Army. I have watched the one that is usually recommended, but find the Italian Army explanation to be more complete. To fully understand the immense scope of the tragedy and how much corruption permeated the government at the time, a documentary by The New Yorker really brings everything into focus, from time stamped videos of the sinking, to cell phone footage from inside the ship, to the sheer anger and wave of protests that ultimately resulted in the impeachment and imprisonment of the South Korean President.

Yeah I think they are vampires too because they work a lot but they have a lot of free time too and sometimes they dont sleep, for example JungKook regularly go to bed at 3:00 AM because he's playing Overwatch, and practice boxing... he do a lot of exercise, V plays LOL with ARMY regularly too, and when he is "chatting" with ARMY at Weverse app he can go to bed at 12 or 1:00 AM and then wake up at 6:00AM, Jin also plays many videogames, Jin and Suga go to fishing once or twice a month, RM likes to ride his bike and take care of his plants, go ouside in spring to photograph the flowers and for a walk with Moni (his dog), also he go to a lot of museums and art galleries... they even went to Jin's uncle's farm to harvest strawberries two months ago and travel together without cameras. More shocking for me is they enjoy to do the housework sometimes, Jungkook likes to do the loundry, V and Jimin likes to wash the dishes, JHope likes to organize, Jin an Suga likes to cook for the others and RM is learning to cook nowadays... this guys are amazing. For their education I have to add: RM: College/University: Global Cyber University, Major in Electronic Engineering (Bachelor) and nowadays is studying Modern Arts in the same university. One remarkable achievement of his is that he was one of the top 1% when he took a national school exam. Also, his TOEIC score is over 900 and his IQ is 148. Jin: Konkuk University, Major in the Department of Film and Visual Arts (Bachelor); Hanyang Cyber University, Major in Film (Master). He graduated on February 22, 2017. Unfortunately he wasn’t able to attend the graduation ceremony, so he held his own with his members and fans through a livestream. Suga: College/University: Global Cyber University, Major in Liberal Arts (Bachelor) and nowadays is studying Psicology he wants to be a profesional adviser for ARMY and his friends (Current university unknown). J-Hope: College/University: Global Cyber University, Major in Sound Engineering (Bachelor) Jimin: College/University: Global Cyber University, Major unknown (currently) Because Jimin was so talented and dedicated in his art school but he has no enough money for pay an academy, his teacher payed for him. V: College/University: Global Cyber University, Major unknown (currently) JungKook: He didn’t take up the national university entrance examinations because he decided to not go for further studies and stick to his music career. However, he did get enrolled in Global Cyber University like his other 5 Hyungs for his under-grad education (major-unknown). Sometimes he feels bad because he doesnt like to study like the olders members but RM say to him that he is studying about life being in BTS and nowadays he can learn in internet and other ways and not necesarily he has to attend at an university besides JungKook is good at everything he tries to... check out JungKook proving why he's the GOLDEN MAKNAE. I really love this boys and I glad that you are in this journey... sorry for my english my mother language is spanish...💜💜💜

Something that you should know about BTS's academic performances: they all went to Hanyang Cyber University, and apart from Jungkook (who still hasn't finished his curriculum as he was the last to enter), all of them have graduated with honors. Many of them have earned two diplomas (Masters). Jin already had a Master in Theatre, Film, Acting, Production and Aesthetics before, since he is the oldest and was already pursuing higher studies when he was picked up by Big Hit Entertainment; so he has two diplomas. It is widely believed that Jimin and RM are the two members who have chosen to pursue two different curriculums and have therefore matched Jin and his two Masters. Other fun facts: Jimin is a Math God. He CREATED HIS OWN METHOD to solve math problems. That's how intelligent he is. It is also highly possible that Tae has what is called "perfect pitch", since he once perfectly identified the pitch of freaking chickens(!!!) and can easily learn how to play any instrument. Namjoon(RM) has of course a 148 IQ, and Jungkook is known to be a Jack of all trades who quickly assimilates things.

Yeah, Spring Day is a tear-jerker. I like to watch the videos with the CC off the first time and then put the cc on. This song made me cry without the captions. Then I watched the explanation, I ugly cried my heart out. This is a beautiful song, no wonder this song is still on the music charts. I still cry when I hear it.

I really CANT wait for you to watch spring day mv and the explanation video. You already heard the song through their Dear class of 2020 performance, but I highly recommend the mv as well. Also, I've been an army for almost a year and I had no idea that BTS talking about the Sewol ferry tragedy was a risky career move and even ILLEGAL. So thanks to you I'm learning more about BTS as well and I never thought I could love them more but I do. I'm also learning more as I watch you learn so thank you :)

Rap line >Rm rap is sometimes poetic , philosophical , emotional/personal and sometimes fast aggressive with wordplay. >Suga rap is fire for haters with fast tongue technology and sometimes personal/emotional. >Jhope rap is flowy/melodic rap which gives positive vibes. and sometimes fast aggressive with different flow changes. His flow is so unique. Rap line is amazing songwriters, producer and rappers. Vocal line 4 members >Jungkook (main vocalist) his natural singing voice is breathy and in middle range , he can easily do higher and lower notes.he do 80% of adlibs , background vocals and runs in every album. His vocals are so stable while dancing to hardest choreography. His breath control is out of this world. >Jimin (lead vocalist) his natural singing voice is in high range , he can easily do highnotes.sometimes his voice is raspy. His voice is higher than My.Everest lol. >Taehyung (lead vocalist) his natural singing voice is deep but he can do highnotes. His voice is deeper than ocean. >Jin(lead vocalist) his voice is in middle range but can easily do highnotes .His voice is sweet like honey. Silver voice. Vocal line voices is unique and perfect in their own way From vocal line in producing and composing songs jungkook and taegyung is very good. I was so in his/her position, just lurking and commenting here and there whenever a new person has a new reaction to our boys, but wasn't fully engage about the channel since its not that sincere besides I can't fully express my information since I'm not that good at explaining ^_^ sorry, however, I love this long episodes that you put effort and time to read comments/email and share your opinion. To make life easier with pronouncing their names for non Koreans like myself. Haha 'ae' read as 'e' ; 'eo' read as 'o' ; 'eu' read as 'u' (like the e sound from the word broken or the o sound button). 'a' like the a in apple not like the a in apex. To differentiate, 'o' will sound ever so slightly longer and relaxed and 'eo' will sound a little bit strained and rushed. (If you watch the link below and listen carefully you'll notice the difference in pronunciation) So it goes something like: Stagename - romanized real name (pronunciation) Rm or Namjoon - Namjun (Nam-Jun) Suga(Shu-ga) or Yoongi - Yungi (Yun-gi) V (bwi) or Taehyung - Taehyeong (Te-hyong) JHope - Hoseok (Ho-sok) Jin - Seokjin (Sok-Jin) Jungkook - Jeongguk (Jong-guk) Jimin (Ji-min) Although low-key/borderline... J is pronounced with the 'ch/ts' sound. If you want to hear how it actually sounds, this video has very clear pronunciation and some fun facts here and there ┌|o^▽^o|┘♪ m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZmbPpqdqm5Z8iaM

Great video as always. I want to say that the explanation video for Spring Day given in the letter is great, there's another one that I personally like better, as it goes deeper into the explanation and what happened with Sewol. It's the explanation video by Italian Army. It's really great, and I think you should react to it instead. A link to the video - kzbin.info/www/bejne/fKO3ZZSVe9xppqc It is long and is in Italian so you'll probably have to pause a lot. Also don't worry about turning on captions as the video is already has English subtitles on it.

Regarding their education. Jin already has his masters degree. Yoongi is very proud of Jin for achieving it. He sometimes tease Jin for his chosen degree. Jungkook, Tae, Jimin, Namjoon, and Hobi I believe are still studying college online. Yoongi graduated already. I can't remember which university that is. There was one tweet of Jin's professor that showed Jin's text to his professor in which he apologized for being absent because they were attending Billboards Music Awards. It was in 2017. I'm sorry. I am not very good in memorizing details. But certainly, all of them treasures education. Yoongi on the other hand, as realist and practical, often lectures on the test takers (during national assessments as they often cheer the examinees) that grades are not all what it is. One time Jimin laughed at him blabbing about it and Namjoonie quickly say something to distract Yoongi for talking more. They are such good models.

Spring Day is not their only deeply political song, but many of their songs are actually political. For example, Go Go, criticises the system which crushes the youth and drives them to acts of despair like drinking their problems away or spending all their money as they get it, saying that the system itself has made the youth feel like 'there's a mortgage on my future', and 'I won't live long enough to regret it'. It also challenges people with that mindset to look at what they are doing through it's satirical lyrics. A song I have no idea how it got past censorship for so long is Am I Wrong. It literally quotes a politician who called the people 'dogs or pigs' so that's why I'm surprised. It criticised the world for believing that the terrible way they live is the only way to live. It asks if we really are at the top, and if we are not, shouldn't we change it? Though funnily enough, Am I Wrong wasn't shown on TV much, so maybe BTS just snuck it in between other songs.

Regarding Spring Day, BTS never officially stated the song is about the Sewol tragedy. RM and Suga (who wrote the song) simply said the song was about missing someone you don't see often - maybe it was a loophole they found to avoid censorship? BUT the director of the music video made MANY references to the Sewol tragedy (it's all explained in the Spring Day Explained video), and yes BTS obviously supported the families, which is why many people have connected the song to the tragedy. :)

Thank you! I get annoyed the way its always presented as a foregone conclusion because there was a tribute to something horrible that shouldn't have happened. Namjoon wrote this song before the tragedy ever happened and say he wrote it about the ppl he misses and has lost due to becoming an idol.

True, although I did read somewhere that Big Hit confirmed it. I don't know if that's true though, personally I doubt it because I can't find any proof. I think I saw it in the comment section on some BTS video but I don't remember where. I have a faint memory of reading it in an article though but I'm not sure.Either way, it's highly likely to just be hearsay.

Hii! I don't know if another person has already told you about this, but as someone that became a BTS fan thanks to the BU (Bangtan Universe), and the presence it has over a big part of their albums, I'd like to introduce you to it:) Also I know you already have a list of the correct order to watch all of their videos, but I thought it'd be great if you had a smaller list that specifically compiles all BU content so you can go over it whenever you want (plus it has teasers and trailers!) As I mentioned, the BU is a very important part of BTS's discography, and it extends to a webtoon, books and soon an entire k-drama and a game! But what is it? It's a multimedia original story comprised mainly of a series of concept music videos, where each one of the members plays a fictional character both named after and partly inspired by their real-life counterpart. It officially began with the 2015 album The Most Beautiful Moment in Life Pt.1 (which you'll also see abreviated to HYYH a lot), and it follows the seven boys meeting, becoming friends and facing the difficulties of adulthood. The perfect order to immerse yourself into the story is the following: - I NEED U (there's two versions of this one, a family friendly one and another that's 18+ which is called the Original version, I highly recommend the latter) kzbin.info/www/bejne/oJvWnKKInZ16iqc - 화양연화 on stage : Prologue kzbin.info/www/bejne/eKWbZ2duibOLZ68 - RUN kzbin.info/www/bejne/rXzcpIKEp7igm9k - Epilogue: Young Forever kzbin.info/www/bejne/gpPZdmN8i8RqZrc After this we enter Wings territory. Here the story becomes more abstract and intertwined with art, philosphy and religious symbolism. If you'd like to dwelve deeper, the inspiration for the entire album was Herman Hesse's book: Demian - Short films: There are 7 of them, one starring each member, and they're connected to the previous videos and to eachother, so pay close attention! They're numbered but the order should be Begin, Lie, Stigma, First Love, Reflection, MAMA and Awake. kzbin.info/www/bejne/r4OaZHxmr5qgqZI - Blood Sweat & Tears kzbin.info/www/bejne/np6oapljiaqoqsU - Blood Sweat & Tears (Japanese Ver): Another version which has its own original video kzbin.info/www/bejne/bYC7aJd_h7eYiaM - 2017 BTS LIVE TRILOGY EPISODE III THE WINGS TOUR Trailer: It might surprise you that a world tour trailer could belong here, but yes, it's connected to everything else kzbin.info/www/bejne/iKbRpYuthdupl6c Next we have the Love Yourself era, and we begin with: - LOVE YOURSELF Highlight Reels (it has 4 parts but the last one also has a compilation of the previous ones so I'd recommend watching that one) kzbin.info/www/bejne/e3nHfGiLZ82ZatE - Euphoria : Theme of LOVE YOURSELF 起 Wonder kzbin.info/www/bejne/oYmTp4Jqq9F9q7c - 'FAKE LOVE' Official Teaser 1 kzbin.info/www/bejne/eIGaYn5ubK2ja7s - FAKE LOVE (there's two versions, the original and an extended version with additional scenes) kzbin.info/www/bejne/epCZgqCCa9d4rs0 - LOVE YOURSELF 結 Answer 'Epiphany' Comeback Trailer kzbin.info/www/bejne/nHrOi4KCqNOip7s Now, it can be confusing to know if a video you're watching belongs to the story or stands on its own, thankfully there's an easy way to know, just look for "BU content certified by Big Hit Entertainment" on the description of each mv, if it's not there, it doesn't belong. You can also find little pieces of the story when you buy their albums, starting from HYYH up to their latest one, Map of the Soul: 7. You get a small notebook called "The Notes", which has diary-entry-style narrations from each one of the seven main characters at different points of the story. Careful, they're not in chronological order so they can be quite confusing, but thankfully some dedicated fans have compiled them in the correct order. Recently BigHit has started to extend the medias in which to portray the BU. Last year they published a manhwa called SAVE ME that can be read for free on Webtoon, that helps you understand the story better (trust me, we desperately needed this), a series of books called The Most Beautiful Moment In Life: The Notes, which you can purchase through the Weverse Shop app, that compiles The Notes from previous albums and adds a few original entries, they're currently filming a k-drama called Blue Sky that'll touch on the boy's backstory and meeting at school, and finally a mobile game which will feature live-action scenes with acting from the members as well as 3D animation. I know it can get very confusing and stressful, so take it easy and don't be scared to take your time to process each video. Some of them are very intense, the topics they touch on are very dark, serious and triggering to some, not something you'd expect from a boyband. I cried twice reading the books, and that only shows how well they're done. Finally, I'd like to add that even though BTS obviously doesn't have the time to sit down and create this entire complex story, they do give a lot of imput and bring the characters to life masterfully. All the videos I've mentioned lead you to many topics; art, religion, mythology, psychology, philosophy, literature... and, among many other things, that's what I love about the boys, not only can you enjoy their music, they motivate you to be curious, research, think and learn

I was wondering what I could tell you about kpop that you might not already know, and I want to talk about kpop companies, you've probably heard the term "the big three" this refers to YG, SM, and JYP entertainment. These are the three companies that came out on top after the surge of kpop as a genre in the 90's. These companies are well renouned for their artists with many talented groups and solo artists under their labels, the reputation of these labels however, varies. YG has a terrible reputation with many scandals that would take too long to get into but involves the founder of the company being involved in gambling, illegal foreign transactions and facilitating sex services for investors. The company is also responsible for mistreating their idols. SM, this company has faced many lawsuits from their own idols mostly due to unfair contracts, mistreatment and and unfair pay. They are also known to be incredibly harsh with their trainees and idols, many being pushed to lose weight or even get plastic surgery. JYP as far as I know is considered the best of the big three as their former artist generally speak highly of the company although they have been known to overwork their artists, and to fatshame, which is unfortunately, a problem in Korea as a whole. All of this, (and more if I were to get into the horror stories of slave contracts, blackmail, and sexual assault.) Makes me appreciate Big Hit as a company so much. The only problems I have been aware of is a few instances of weight/body shaming which as I said earlier, appears to be a Korean culture problem. The boys are paid well, (no one know how much exactly but its in the millions) the have artistic freedom unlike many groups, and they have a close relationship with their boss and staff. Also Bighit tends to be much more open with the fans when it comes to scandals, usually releasing explanations quicky which is more than can be said for some companies.

Oh btw - Suga mentioned on a Vlive that he found his job as 'student monitor' in school to be nonsensical. For future reference: Baepsae (뱁새) is prounounced PEP-SAY, kind of like Pepsi. Say it with me - PEP (like in 'pepper') SAY (like in 'say'). It has various meanings, but can be roughly translated to the meaning of 'try-hard'. You may see the word 'crow tit' pop up in relation to this word - this is the name of a cute little Korean bird and is the literal meaning of the word. The meaning of 'try-hard' comes from the Korean saying 'if a crow-tit tries to walk like a stork he will break his legs', i.e. if you try to do something that is beyond your ability, it's unlikely you'll achieve it. The word Baepsae is often referred to by BTS as they were considered underdogs for a long time. Hope that's useful 💜

If anyone wants to know about Seokjin here is what i read He was accepted early at one of the 3 top universities in Seoul,Konkuk University. He was the only one who got accepted like that and every student would go to his class to see who that person was.He went to an all boys high school and received flowers or candy for Valentine's day cause he was that handsome,i guess. He went to college as a film major and continued his studies even if he was working as BTS.He would attend exams and write essays etc to pass his class. He graduated in 2017.Sadly,Konku had some funding problems and his department got united with the animation one and that caused an uprising at the school at that time asking for that NOT to happen.Seokjin supported that and tweeted his department not to change.I think at the end they lost the battle. After graduating college he missed his graduation cause he had to be at a stupid award show(yeah,i know God,knows why BH couldn't find an excuse with the broadcasting to let him leave) but the members felt Seokjin's sadness and gave him a private graduation on Vlive(their streaming channel) before the award ceremony. He announced that he is working on his masters currenlty. His professors at Uni have only good things to say about Seokjin's record as a student and his academic studies. He did try to attend and graduate even though he was on tour half the year or made music, album promo etc He kept in contact and gave in assignments. About Tae: He attended an arts school at some point before he was catsed by BH.He had to learn an instrument so he chose the saxophone but the didnt have time to practice as he became a trainee and doesnt remember much.He still tries to learn piano and guitar along with Seokjin. He was a happy kid very famous in his class when he came to SOPA( school of performing arts). He was the one that befriended Jimin and never left him alone once.Jimin came kinda late in Seoul and was all new to SOPA.Tae took him in and asked everyone to take good care of Jimin, even though Jimin thought Tae was kinds weird cause he was a toublemaker but kind. They graduated and then debuted. The would attend school together and train at BH. Jungkook was a so and so student in Busan. He wanted to sing so he auditioned for a reality show Super Star K like X factor or something when he was 13 but didnt make it.After that he got casted by BH and enrolled in Sopa to finish his middle school and highschool deploma. He didnt attend much once he debuted cause he was busy.

Just wanted to correct you on where VMin went to school. They weren't from SOPA (only JK went to SOPA). I'm not sure which school they went to but the uniforms they wore in their Friends stage during BBCon is similar to their school uniform (or is their school uniform idk).

Actually, Jungkook isn't a very academic person. Specially after he joined BTS, he just had a really hard time balancing everything, for example, he had a big test the morning after a late show. Jungkook expressed insecurity and guilt a out his academic past during the 2019 FESTA, and rhe rest of the guys were very quick to comfort him. He might not be book-smart, but he is very artistic, and very good with physical things. He is also very kind and polite, and always land a hand to stuff members and such.

Exactly, and it is completely fine to not choose that path. The reason I chose not to include this wasn't because I thought it was something that has to be hidden. I just chose to focus more on their behaviour in itself in a school-setting. Just because one doesn't have the best grades in everything, doesn't mean that you aren't trying your hardest. From what we've seen on Jungkook, he always does his very best at any obstacle he faces. Even though perhaps his grades weren't the highest compared to other classmates, I truly believe he did the best he could and that's all one can ask for.

Jin used to study abroad during his middle school years in Australia. RM also studied in New Zealand for 6 months. Jungkook is good at sport during his school years, he was ranked 2 in the nation for handball in a physical examination and through the handball competition. He also stated that he doesn't like any subjects except for Physical Education, Art, and Music Class. He is very athletic person in general and considered himself as the fastest member in bts. Jimin also learned a lots of martial arts you can react to kzbin.info/www/bejne/pYbGeZqej7arn9k

If you're interested in a quick and dirty way of learning the pronunciation of BTS related Korean then I recommend going to papago.naver.com and pasting in the hangul (name of Korean alphabet) I posted next to the romanised (as in using the latin alphabet) names and listen to the pronunciation. Hangul is supposed to be one of the easiest alphabets to learn btw, if you're interested. I'm a little damaged from learning Japanese when I was younger, so I get confused with some of the signs looking similar but being pronounced totally different, haha. Etc, etc. The romanised spelling is misleading at times as there often isn't an exact 1:1 correlation to sounds in English, so I recommend looking up the hangul and using the above method, or try to learn the alphabet. In the end however, I doubt the guys would be insulted if your pronunciation stays more American than accurate to the Korean. My own very Irish name changes pronunciation depending on which language I'm speaking, using sounds the listeners are more used to to help memorisation. Btw, I don't know if you're dyslexic, but did you know there are fonts out there that supposedly are easier for those with dyslexia to read? Also using sans serif fonts like Arial, Comic Sans, or Verdana can help, along with larger font size and bigger spacing between letters, words, and lines. There are ways to customise what fonts appear on your screen in all the browsers I know of.

For Jungkook background, he said one time (in vlive I think) that he didn't study and instead he did wherever he wanted, his parents never put pressure on him for the notes. He told us a story when he was caught cheating in a exam, his mom told him that she was mad, but not for having a bad note, she was mad bc he cheated, bc he lied. He said that his parents where always supportive and let him do wherever he wanted, if that made him happy. Also said that he regret not studying more, and that he admire how inteligent are his hyungs. Also he said that armys should study ans that is important, but shouldn't be obsessed by that, or they can miss the thing they rly want to do. And that they should build their own dreams and goals, bc thay the way to real happynes This is the live, I think I linked the time when he start talking about this, is cool to hear and it has subs. www.vlive.tv/video/132457?begin=1991 (If doesn't link the time, it start talking of that at 33:11)
