This cult of Cyaegha is presented as malevolent, but it seems they are actually performing a great service in keeping Cyaegha bound and contained.

They were once malevolent, but now they're simply drawn to do these rituals under the power of Cyaegha. They're now unwitting slaves to its will.

@@ArticulateFantasy Malevolent or not, it sounds like even when they were evil that keeping Cyaegha under wraps was the lesser of two evils.

Yeah, they are keeping Cyaegha sealed away, and they do it to benefit from its power and to not have it destroy them all. Their work is absolutely helpful to the universe, but their motivations were, atleast to me, selfish in nature.
