I loved the way they handled him in the DCAMU. I got the Justice League Dark movie because it had Batman going against magic foes. But, it turned out that Batman was just there as a familiar grounding point as an introduction to the magical side of DC. I fell in love with Constantine there. Then his role in Apokolips War is hilarious. Darkseid gains a total victory over the Justice League and is moments away from completely reducing the earth to nothing. But a depowered Superman convinces Constantine to come along and all of Darkseid's plans and victories were undone by a drunken Brit who was winging his way through everything 😂

However I particularly recommend Jamie Delano's run, Garth Ennis first archs (Dangerous habits is a must read), Paul Jenkins's run, Warren Ellis's, Brian Azzarello's and Mike Carey's (he has a graphic novel called All his engines really good too). And also Swamp Thing American gothic from Alan Moore and Books of magic from Neil Gaiman. The only superhero stuff I think has done decent with him is Injustice year 3 from Tom Taylor. This is just my opinion though, but you'll see how it has absolutley nothing to do with the cartoon stuff

I thought Sam got his demonic powers from a "yellow-eyed demon" (Azazel), so they were never really his. Once the demon blood left him, Sam reverted back to being a "normal" human. I think it's akin to taking drugs, once they're out of your system you revert back to your "normal" state.

One of my co-workers and I were talking about who we thought could play certain heroes and villains in movies, and we came to the conclusion that Misha Collins, the guy who plays Castiel on Supernatural, would make a great Constantine. He's got the trench coat, he's played a powerful character well-versed in the supernatural, and he can be badass as all hell. All he'd have to do is learn to talk with a British accent and dye his hair blonde. Or, you know, they could just get the same guy who played Constantine on Arrow to be him in any movies that feature the character. Random question: who do you guys think would be a good choice to play a live action Lobo? I know there's already a live action Lobo on that SyFy show Krypton, but I'm trying to figure out if anyone else can pull it off. Honestly, in my opinion, I think Jason Momoa could be Lobo. He's a badass, he can definitely play a wild character, and I honestly believe he would enjoy being in a role where he could just go nuts. Being Lobo would definitely give someone an excuse to go insane on screen. Sure, it would mean Jason Momoa would have to play a dual role in any DC movie that features both Aquaman and Lobo, but I'm sure he could pull it off.

Constantine’s impact on pop culture is bigger than we think. Both Preacher (comics and show) and Supernatural were heavily inspired by the Hellblazer comics and the character of John Constantine. I don’t know why Constantine isn’t one of the most popular comic characters ever, because to me he is just as compelling and interesting as Batman, Spider-Man and Superman it’s just that the target audience for Constantine is mostly adult.

Well he always or at least almost always has one in his hand. What does he do for money though?? Unfortunately I don’t know anything about him from the comic standpoint only the movie but he’s gotta have some form of an income because at NY cig prices he’d have to be loaded. I recently switched to rollies to save money so I’m only spending $20 or so a month vs the $280 a month that I was normally spending on cigarettes seeing as I’m a pack a day smoker. Have been for roughly almost 10 years now since I turned 19. Read an estimate somewhere that if you’ve been smoking a pack a day for the past I believe 40-60 years the estimated amount you’ve spent is roughly 450,000 dollars on cigarettes which is a monumentally insane amount of money.. that coupled with the health risks definitely make me wanna quit

Ive watched a good grip of your vids and i love the style and the info is AlWAYS on point, until we get tc the number rating. I mean even in this case, id say most of the time Johns “influence” over the ENTIRE DC universe is remarkably low all things considered.
