Two years ago when I was building out my van for weekend travel I looked at all the power stations. I started with Jackery then Bluetti and finally settled on EcoFlow (caught a sale and got the Delta Max with solar panels). It worked well for me while doing a lot of off grid camping. My only complaint was the weight. I recently added a Delta 2 and that problem was solved. I'm in Florida and during the two recent hurricanes, life went on for me almost like normal while my neighbors sat in the dark for 3 days. Both units are still going strong and while I understand the cost factor, mine was money well spent.

Ecoflow certainly raised the bar on what a portable power station could be. They had some snags along the way but were quick to correct issues in new models. It’s really amazing what products with lithium based batteries have evolved into over just a few short years. I don’t own one but I’ve recommended them to friends and family and not had any complaints yet.

I have owned EcoFlow for 3 years in February. My attempt has been to be energy independant and I have not arrived. I am currently awaiting a call with the upper managment before I tell my complete story. I posted part of it on their site and to no surprise never saw it again. From Delta Pro to Delta Pro Ultra, it has been a trip. More to come.

Well thanks for the history lesson, but it would be also nice to know where and how the stuff is actually made. All the Apple comparisons remind of the slave labor on Foxconn plants where Apple products are manufactured. It wouldn't hurt to know whether Ecoflow uses such efficient business practices as well.

I own quite a few Mini, Delta, Max, Delta 2, Max 2, solar and now alternator charger. I like the weight of the units, so not doing pro. I am going to now experiment with 12v 100 Lifepro4 battery with alternator charger. If that works well, I may just buy a 12v 300 Ah one and then just call it quits. I may then hand me down older ones.

I'm not sure if this is the best video to ask it on, but I have a question. I'm looking for a portable power station. What kind of plug should I be looking for to deliver the most power to the EV.

I just bought the EcoFlow Delta 3+ and I have seven 320 watt Solar Panels connected to it and I was running my electric heater with it for a couple hours the other day and it wasn’t even sunny. It was just cloudy. I am over paneling the unit so that it will work on a cloudy day quite well. If anybody is gonna burn out the charge controller on it, it is going to be me. So far so good.

This works but when I stop for fuel and turn off the truck the inverter is turn off as well. Hence powering off the AC in the trailer. The setup I would like would be to have a power station charging from the truck and the trailer plugged into the power station with a 30-amp plug. Providing power to run the AC. From the video I saw about the Oupes Mega 3, that sounds like it will work. However, before making the purchase I would like to know more about them. Similar for the other companies I listed above. I was tempted to purchase one of the smaller ecoflow units but there were too many negative reviews especially on customer service. Having a company that backs you up is just as important as the product capability and features. Too many horror stories about ecoflow, refusing to replace faulty units, taking forever to get a replacement, and in general lack of communication with buyers that have issues. Power stations are relatively complicated machines that are going to have issues occasionally. Well, having a product fail is frustrating not getting the product replaced in a timely manner is much more frustrating. I have not personally owned an eco.Flow. But from doing a lot of research, I was deterred for buying from them. I would be interested to try one of their products, but I cannot risk the money to test one

Ecoflow repaired my River 2 Pro under warranty after I accidentally overloaded the unit and blew the inverter. It helps to register the product before requesting warranty service. The email response from the Canadian tech support was punctual and easy to deal with. Since I had to ship (5 days each way over land and no cost to me) the unit to the Toronto area, it took about 3 weeks for the repaired unit to return to me. I'm very satisfied with the warranty service I received from Ecoflow and very pleased that they stand behind their product.

When I was in the market for my first "big" sogen (2kw sized, hey, in Japan that's big), I seem to recall Ecoflow were using NMC batteries whilst others had gone over to the longer-lived and safer LFP (leading a few people to think it was a "newer" techology, but it isn't), though Ecoflow have long since also made the switch. Also LFP's energy density is now being worked on for electric cars, and that's feeding back into better sogens. Also, both Wave air conditioners have a pretty bad reputation, too, if you can dig through the thousands of paid "reviews" you get when searching. The first one's fan spindles broke, and the second has various issues with conking out and needing resetting. My one had a dubious "high voltage error" when in heat mode, though cold mode works just fine.

Great summary! About the price, I just bought 6 48V scooter batteries, a 3kW inverter and 2x60A mppt chargers and 21 100W panels and a box cart for about the same price a their high end battery, and it works well, but our time and their integrated products have value that should also be factored in.

And also I would argue that the number one problem people have with ecoflow is not the price they command, if you wait a bit theres ALWAYS a sale or discount code from them, the main issue with ecoflow seems to be Customer Service and Communication issues, language barriers, time zones and time differences in getting a response, you would think with all the money they make they would plough some into decent C.S and not silly frivolous things like the Solar Hat, that I bet will end up on their rewards page by the end of the year!

Extremely impressed with the vid. Keep up with this quality and you will have a great future. I just received my 1st Ecoflow product, the delta 3 plus and I’m quite impressed. I definitely should have ordered 2 units since my wife has claimed this unit and I have not seen the Cyberweek sale price of these units again. Oh well, fingers are crossed that a least one decent sale occurs between now and mid June before I head north to the lake. WRT your channel, I see phenomenal potential in channels like yours to show the world what is occurring in China. Ecoflow is one of many, many, relatively new Chinese companies offering high quality products with great customer focus and support that are dynamic and invest in the required research to ensure future success. These companies are literally going to “eat the lunch” of existing US , Japanese and European “blue chip” companies where shareholder gains are their primary focus. Most people don’t have a clue at the advances the Chinese have made over the last decade so it’s a story worth telling. Keep up the great work!👍
