Ḥamza ibn ʿAbd al-Muṭṭalib was a foster brother, paternal uncle, maternal second-cousin, and companion of the Islamic prophet Muhammad. He was martyred in the Battle of Uhud on 23 March 625.

Also the title the lion of Allah swt was given then to Hazrat Ali alaihissalaam as he then became the prophet’s pbuh protector in every battle and even asa a young teen he never left his side punishing the people who threw stones on his path. The title thus given to him was Asadullah in the life of the Prophet salle ala Mohammadin wa aalehi wa barik wassallum. Thus the Prophet pbuh gave him the mighty Zulfiqar with which he won the greatest battles of Islam.

His been given the Zulfiqar, the birth in the Kaaba, being called the doorway to knowledge, being taken as Nafs e Nabi saw. at MUBAHILA, his being raised at khum and declared the guide and helper by the Holy Prophet salallaho alaihe wassallum. Man kunto Maula fa haza Aliun Maula and one of the hundreds of Ahadith that Ali is the difference between Eman and kufr. And yes according to the Ahlebait alaihissalaam, Ali was given the title of Sher e Khuda, lion of God. Which he also inherited from his uncle Hazrat Hamza s,a, just like Imam Hussain alaihissalaam inherited the title of Sayyidushuhada after the biggest and most brutal massacre that he willingly accepted for Islam. It's plain history and in-depth unbiased research for any Islamic scholar. And moreover, Imam Mahdi alaihissalaam will also be from the lineage of Hazrat Ali and Bibi Fatima Zehra salaamullah alaihe as per the Hadith of the beloved Prophet salallaho alaihe wassallum.

But the title of Lion of Allah was given to Saidina Hamza by Prophet Muhammad HIMSELF. YOU are the one who cant accept it. @@Redmic-bj2gf The title was first given to Hazrat Hamza alaihissalaam, and after the battle of Khandaq it was also given by the Holy Prophet salallaho alaihe wassallum to Hazrat Ali. It is accepted by all Muslims and Sahaba also. It's very easy please Google your question. There is all information there. They were both given that title. It was when Hazrat Ali defeated the enemy with one stroke of his sword. Then again at Khyber. As a start, you can search, Hazrat Ali, lion of God or Asadullah references and Ahadith. Hazrat Hamza alaihissalaam was indeed a great warrior and was known as Sayyidusshuda this title was then passed on to Hazrat imam Hussain alaihissalaam after the greatest sacrifice for Islam that was given by him in the plains of Karbala where not only the Holy Prophet pbuh and his grandchildren were mercilessly killed but Imam Hussain’s body was cut and trampled upon by the army of Yazid as an insult to the holy prophet and the prophet’s family.
