Who is Iran's new president Masoud Pezeshkian?

Iran's President elect has urged his people to stick with him on what he said would be a difficult road ahead for the country, in his first remarks since winning the nation's run-off presidential election.
But while Masoud Pezeshkian has hinted at potential change including ties with the West, the United States raised doubts, pointing to the prevailing role of the Supreme Leader.
